The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware (A Review)

Nov 01, 2016 11:51

There has been a weird trend of making female protagonists unreliable and somewhat problematic. Laura Blacklock was just that.

She has extreme anxiety to the point she had to be medicated. On top of that, her house was broken in days prior to her work trip aboard Aurora. Love stress, stress from this incident and anxiety just make this work trip such a dread.

The book was okay up till the point when the so-called woman from cabin 10 appeared and attacked Lo (as she would like to be called). It totally became like a clusterfuck of nonsense to me. Like whatttttt? Huh? I might have to admit that I was not paying attention and speed through this whole part. Clearly this part was not holding my attention.

Would I re-read this whole book again? Probably no. It wasn't a terrible book but it wasn't amazing as it was hyped to be.
