At last, I've got round to resizing some of the pictures from my weekend at home and from a meal that my flat had at the Chicago Rock café. Not many of the latter, just a few of my friends mucking around :)
At home we have rivers ...
... meadows with oak trees and buttercups ...
... roads and hills looking out over the trees ...
(Pictured is Rowtown: probably the prettiest of all the villages in my area. I live in New Haw, which is slightly more built up.)
... bunkers covered in ivy ...
... paths in the woods ...
... DONKEYS!!! ...
... mum reading the map at the corner of a field ...
... me walking through the field ...
... ponies in private stables ...
... fields and farms ...
... geese sunning themselves in a meadow ...
... red post boxes ...
... beehives (look closely!) ...
... and old, abandoned ...
... camper vans.
And many other things. Those photos were all taken on a walk that me and mum did around the nice scenic areas where we live. We are quite lucky to live so close to such nice surroundings.
Now, onto pictures from Monday night. We went out for a farewell dinner for Rikka, a Canadian international student who had a very big place in our heart and the flat over the last year. She left today; it was very sad. ;_;
Unfortunately none of the pictures have her in it as we were sat up the other end of the long table to her. I might find some of her from other occasions and put them up another time.
