Just watched The Village. Amazing movie. I really do love it. I love how his movies are not essentially horror flicks, that they're actually, at the very heart, something else. Like this one, for example. At the deep core, it is a love story, and the quest for innocence. Very true that it's suspense and whatnot, but at the core, there's the love that binds and causes people to be more than they are. I love it. Can I just say that the scene illustrated by
inkdot's icon is one of my absolute favourites? Another one is at the wedding, where once again Ivy has her hand stretched out and Lucius once again takes it. He's just there. I love it. My other favourite scene (I have many, bear with me) is when Lucius and Ivy are on Ivy's porch. That's a sweet scene. Oh, and when the elders are all getting mad at Ivy's dad because he let her go and he just starts yelling at them. That's a great one. But I think the scene that takes the cake is Kitty declaring her love to Lucius and Lucius just looking like a deer caught in headlights.
The world moves for love. It kneels in awe of it.
I really need the soundtrack.
