Shocks & Surpises (Chapter 7)
Emily was relaxing at home with Michaela. Michaela brought her over a cup of tea and sat down on the couch beside her
“Thanks for the tea Michaela” Emily said gratefully and wondered how David was getting on talking with Jamie.
“No problem. Now you can tell me all the juicy details!” Michaela replied with a huge smirk on her face.
“What details?” Emily asked even though she knew perfectly well what Michaela was talking about.
“You know well what I mean. I’m not leaving here till you tell me” Michaela said with the smirk still on her face.
Emily rolled her eyes but couldn’t help but grin.
Michaela was so like her character Angela
“Alright, you remember that night we were filming Wannabe in the Weeds” Emily started and Michaela nodded.
“David and I were the last one’s left on set. Basically he just grabbed me and kissed me. And one thing led to another. It was pretty amazing” Emily finished with a sigh.
“You did it on set?! Well I guess that was bound to happen. All that tension between you two was bound to explode sooner or later” Michaela commented after a minute.
Was it that obvious?
“I can’t believe we were that obvious but your right that it was bound to happen sooner or later” Emily replied and then there was a knock on the door. She jumped.
“Let me get this” Michaela offered and went to open the door.
David
He walked inside.
Before Emily realised what she was doing she got up and ran into his arms. David wrapped his arms tightly around her.
“I guess I better get going. Talk to you later Em” Michaela said and picked up her bag. Then she headed out.
They were alone again.
“What was that for?” David asked jokingly.
“I missed you. I just need you here after what happened today” Emily replied. She grabbed his hand and they sat on her couch together.
“I missed you too Em” David replied happily but then his face turned slightly serious again.
This must be about Jamie
“How did things go with Jamie?” Emily asked nervously.
“Not so good. We had a huge argument in my trailer and she stormed out. Then she called me a while ago and told me to pick up all my stuff later from the house. And I’m only allowed to see Jaden one day a week now” David explained while he ran his fingers through her hair.
She felt like it was all her fault.
“I’m really sorry David. I feel so responsible for all this. You should probably just leave me now before I do any more harm to you” Emily replied now crying and turned away from him.
“Hey! Don’t talk like that. I’m just as much to blame as you are. Besides I could never leave the woman I love!” David said firmly and turned her back around to face him.
She couldn’t believe it.
He loved her. Though they had been seeing each other the last couple of months she was not expecting David to say that to her at all.
Emily couldn’t hide her grin.
“I love you too David” Emily replied and leaned over to give him a quick kiss.
David smiled.
“Look I know we aren’t in the best situation but we can get through it. That’s why I think we should live together.” David suggested.
Emily’s eyes widened.
It was a big step but she would definitely feel more comfortable having David around.
“I would love that David. I would feel more relaxed if you were here” Emily finally agreed with him.
David patted her bulging tummy and spoke to her bump. “We are all going to get through this you know. You, me and your mummy here”
Emily laughed.
She really felt as though they could make it now.
