[Elbows on keyboards when you're staring at the screen in horror are difficult things. There's a muttered curse before the sound clicks off.]

[Wh- was that a curse? Really? Don't think you can get away with that, mister. The sound is turned back on with determination.]

Well, that was hardly constructive criticism.

[And there's just a sigh as he resignedly reconnects.]

Neither was yours.

[A brief pause in this end.]

I'm confused as to what you mean. Are you still sore about that penis talk few days ago? Should I apologize?

No.

[Talking through a wince makes words clipped and tight.]

There wasn't anything to apologise to me for.

[Actually, some of that had been almost flattering, and it's Angela who might require the stronger apology for having been pimped out by a friend. Today on the other hand.]

This is fictional? It sounds like you're writing from personal observation.

[There's no way in hell Brennan is going to broach that topic with Angela. Nor Chase, any further. She can only hope Chase won't mention the "pimping out" to Angela - she will not ask. No matter how good the intention may have been, the execution was all wrong. If you can avoid something, it won't exist, right?]

No, it's... it is. Well, the execution of certain... events are. I grant that some things mentioned are observational facts, but not all of them.
