Mementos, memorials, honoring its past. That was a good landing.
The medical information was IRRITATINGLY hand-wavy and moved WAY too fast (it wasn't even a DAY...come ON), and it is FOOLHARDY to take someone with an urgent TBI on a shoot-out. Ugh. (Also, as he himself said, Booth doesn't "have an off hand!" so he could have shot leftie.)
So, for me, it was rough in Act 3 and the beginning of Act 4, but the landing was smooth. I'm happy with what they did with Cam and Arastoo...sibling groups are SO hard to place, and that is LOVELY. And they wrote it so Brennan commented, noting that she recognizes the significance to her background. I like it.
I wish they'd addressed Pops, since Ralph Waite died. I'm glad they at least mentioned him this season. I was not sorry to see Max go. I DID wish Brennan, in response to the sister tonight, had said she knows EXACTLY what it was to lose parents, long before Max was shot. I'm glad the season gave us acknowledgement that Russ and Amy are doing fine...and that Hayley is still alive. I DO wish we knew if Russ had been able to legally adopt Amy's girls.
The OCD in me wishes they'd had four more episodes so that we had an even 250 episodes. **grumble**
But....they had one last walk away together, and everyone is still there, doing what they do best, continuing their lives. This is my favorite kind of ending. Life goes on. They're still out there; we're just no longer privvy to their story.
