One Down, 100 to Go!

I can now mark off #88 on my mission101_2009 list. I got my cartilage pierced yesterday. It was originally supposed to be my reward when I lost 20 pounds, but Kelsey got her third holes done yesterday and they had a sale, so I decided to make it my 5 pounds lost reward.

My mission to find a step bench is going nowhere. I've only found two, with one looking really cheap and the other being a tad pricey. I know I could order one online, but I don't want to pay shipping, so I'll wait till I have a night off and I can go to Dick's. It's amazing that Springfield has a million restaurants, more Dollar Stores than I can count, two Wal Marts, and only one real sporting goods store. Just shows the mentality of the people who live here. I guess being fat is acceptable. I would love to live in an area where health and fitness are a priority. When we were in Arizona, I was so impressed with the emphasis that is put on health, both physical and mental. Oh well, all I can do is take care of myself.

School is going great so far. This is a very interesting class. It's really different being back in school at this point in my life, and I find I'm taking it more seriously.

Weather has been awful, with sub-zero temps and snow. I keep dreaming of the beach and the desert. We're watching the Arizona Cardinals playoff game right now and I so wish I were there! It's really depressing that we had to cancel our trip to Sedona next month, but I'll get to go back eventually. I want warm.

I've been doing well with the weight loss and exercise. The only thing is my coworkers. They are all overweight (with one exception) and they just don't care. They complain about feeling bad and being tired, and Colleen is always complaining about being alone and wondering why she can't meet someone. Can they really be this oblivious to the source of their problems? I love my job, and I love Colleen like a sister, but the negativity is just getting to be a little much. I guess from now on, I'll just do my thing and keep quiet about it. I'm the oldest one in the nursery at night, but I certainly don't look like the oldest. My plan is to keep it that way.
