In Which We Make a Convert

I am under a pile, and I think I'm going to have to chew my way out. Is the semester over yet? :(

That aside, my brother visited last weekend for Easter and bumbled into the new Telltale Sam & Max games on my computer while looking for something to play (our Internet connection and WoW are still speaking to each other, but they do so like a pair of drunks at 4:00 AM on a Saturday-- slow, slurred, and prone to passing out mid-sentence). Now, I've been trying to get the kid to see the glorious light of Sam & Max for years. He didn't want to play the LucasArts game, didn't read the comics I gave him, etc. But after a few minutes of playing Culture Shock, he started snickering. Then snorting a bit. Then asking great questions like "Does the dog always talk like this?"

Before he left on Sunday afternoon, he played through the second episode, asked how much the games cost, and clicked on the first page of the flash comic on the Telltale site. I think I've won this round.

In other news, PILE. My taxes are looking at me with their beady paper eyes, and what am I doing? Tweaking my new Kubuntu desktop installation. I'm not sure if I like it yet, and I'm not sure how much my uncertainty has to do with how long I've been using Gnome. It is perhaps telling that I spent several minutes playing panel games to make it look more like Gnome.

sam & max, the heathen os
