What I've Done Lately

Aug 16, 2005 12:15

  • Helped my little brother move into his new dorm at Mercer. It's a great little suite, and I like his roommates, so he should be having a pretty good time right now.
  • Gotten sun-burned rather badly in the execution of the above, as we made a three-hour drive in a convertible during the hottest part of the day. I'm so glad there's an Aloe vera plant on the porch.
  • Gotten temporary health insurance (up to six months).
  • Gone to the doctor about the UTI I managed to develop despite my drinking at least two glasses a day of cranberry juice, imbibing ludicrous amounts of water, taking showers rather than baths, and consistently wiping front to back. So frustrated. Hate my urethra.
  • Apparently gained a little weight since I've been home, which is unsurprising considering that I'm no longer walking an average of five miles a day.
  • Played through Disgaea, which is neat and fun and completely on crack (even before the delightfully voiced parody of the old-school American comics hero came up).
  • Played with my katana. It's sexy.
  • Job-hunted. Hate doing that. Am taking a break this week to buy parts and build computer.
  • Found a free online course teaching Quechua via Spanish. Well, my Spanish could use some practice, anyway.
