An Open Letter to the Internet

Dear Internet,

I want to find resources regarding whether and to what extent Spanish and Arabic blended in Moorish Spain, and exactly how the Moriscos adapted the Spanish language to the Arabic alphabet in the aljamiados.

So why are all my Google results a) uselessly superficial overviews of the history of the Spanish language, b) uselessly superficial overviews of the history of Moorish Spain, or c) in Spanish? My Spanish is rusty, but it can more or less see me through academic articles. It's just going to take me all morning to get through these things, and even then I'm not guaranteed to get any information I want amid all the intellectual wankery and slow-loading PDF.

Can I have something with a chart, maybe? I like charts.

No love,

P.S. Why is the only English-language article on this page about food?
P.P.S. Oh, wait, there's another one. But not a helpful one.
P.P.S. Oh, and this one, which looks helpful, uses a proprietary font to display the Arabic. I bite things now.

open letters, nano, follow the butterflies
