Trombone -- Braves -- Michigan (in that order)
Hello all.
This past week has been the busiest week that I have had in quite some time. To start off with I am logging in an insane amount of hours with my trombone. This is all well and good except that it makes me feel very single-minded at times. The other trombone players here are pretty cooland are in general pretty cool to hang with. There is one that kind of gets on my nerves. He always wants to talk about trombone. I mean I love the trombone but sometimes there are other things to say. For instance, the other night we all attended this concert. During intermission I called all of you guys. After I called i was all chipper and so i began telling this particular trombone player about you guys. I wasn't even thinking about trombone playing when he suddenly interrupts my upbeat bantor to ask me if I have heard this recording of Mahler 8. What a nut!
However, aside from that one minor strife the rest of the week was great. As you all know on Thursday I got to go to Turner Field and be recognized as the Braves Fan of the Year. It was so exciting. I recieved a black wooden bat with Marcus Giles' signature on it. I also got meet and in doing so have developed a new crush/obsession. But alas, he is married and all intitial feelings about going to beat her up have since waned. I also got several pictures taken with he and I as well him signing my bat and a few pictures of me on the Jumbo Tron screen. In short, the night was way cool and very fun. I loved getting to come home for even one night and see my family.
So I am back in michigan now watching the leaves change way before I think they are supposed to but in general enjoying myself.
