*You look like you could use some help. A man in a white mask with darkened features appears on screen. He tilts his head slightly to left thinking. And then the screen is overlain with static and quickly scrolling text*
[vide0] <- I'll leave it for Masky. <3bone_geniusApril 19 2011, 00:13:07 UTC
[Brennan blinks. That was odd. But it looks like the problem she was having was fixed.
...That face. Was it a white mask? She'd been warned about a figure in a white mask. He is supposed to be harmful though, not helpful. This was helpful.
She shrugs and opens a private feed to Wesker.]
Doctor Wesker. Please respond. I need to speak with you.
[voice>>action | private]viral_tyrantApril 19 2011, 01:29:06 UTC
I will be there momentarily.
[The device turns off as he saves the data he has just entered into the system and shuts the computer off. Draping his labcoat over the chair, he walks over to the door and exits his room.
[action | private]bone_geniusApril 19 2011, 01:47:29 UTC
[Brennan answers her door and allows Wesker to enter. If he were to notice - or care - he'd see that she's been busy decorating her room. Her walls are a cool blue gray now. She has a plush bed in a far corner with darker blue bedding. The opposite wall has tons of shelves that are already starting to collect books and artifacts she's gotten from the vendors outside. On her desk, along with all the usual desk supplies, is a new laptop, a nice stereo, and a vase with brightly colored flowers. Her closet already has quite a bit of clothing and shoes inside. The front of her room, nearest the door, is her own little forensic lab setup.]
This person called himself "Owl". He was very interested in what you've told me about your work...
[action | private]viral_tyrantApril 19 2011, 01:54:05 UTC
[He nodded as he entered and looked around the room, taking note of how quickly she had changed her room. Very welcoming and warm, the opposite of his cold looking laboratory.]
What did he ask you? [Wesker was going to be short and to the point, like he always was when it came to his work. He needed to know just what Nagi was asking the others about him and what the man had learned.]
[action | private]bone_geniusApril 19 2011, 02:20:34 UTC
He asked what you and I spoke about. He seemed... startled... that you and I had spoken about our... well, your work. He seemed like he didn't believe what I told him.
[She looks up at him, realizing that the gentlemanly conduct from a few nights ago has seemingly evaporated. Now he seems almost upset. Perhaps she shouldn't have told this "Owl" anything. But why?
Suddenly unsure of the situation, she pauses, waiting for Wesker's reaction before divulging any more information.]
[action | private]viral_tyrantApril 19 2011, 02:39:12 UTC
Hmmm...[He folded his arms across his chest, one hand at his chin thoughtfully.] Owl and I have not seen eye to eye since I have arrived. As to why, I am not sure.
[He sighs as if he's hurt by such accusations, dropping his arms.] My apologies for you becoming involved, Doctor Brennan. It seems I may need to speak to him myself to clear the air, as it were. I do not wish for there to be any tension in the mansion.
[action | private]bone_geniusApril 19 2011, 03:31:24 UTC
No need to apologise... It just sounds like he is confused and perhaps just looking to start a problem.
[She hesitates. He seems upset that people are talking about him. This is understandable. But she's spent the last four years with a top investigator, and it appears he has rubbed off on her a bit more than she would have thought. Something is off about the situation between Wesker and Owl...
She steps toward him and lowers her voice.]
I did want to ask... he implied that the information you shared with me about your work is not the same as what you told him. Is this at all true? Do he and I have different sets of information about your work?
[She looks up at him, her eyes questioning but also still trusting.]
[action | private]viral_tyrantApril 19 2011, 03:49:39 UTC
I believe you are right in that aspect.
[He looks at her closely, watching her as she advances toward him. He knew she was quite intelligent and that his answers and actions would have to be quite convincing if he was to avoid suspicion.
He clenches his jaw slightly at her question, wanting very much to seem upset and angered that Nagi had told her nothing but lies about him.]
I have not lied to you about my work, Doctor Brennan. [He removes his sunglasses, squinting at first to make it seem his eyes were adjusting to the light. He then looks down at her, his blue eyes giving nothing away.] I have given both of you the same facts concerning my research.
[action | private]viral_tyrantApril 19 2011, 04:44:14 UTC
[He returns the smile, albeit small.] I believe we can.
[His eyebrows raise slightly at her question. He had never been presented with such an inquiry and wasn't quite sure how to respond.]
I do believe you have free will, so that is up to you. [The one corner of his mouth pulls up slightly as he chuckles.
Now that the mood has hopefully lightened somewhat, he proposed something any other male would in this situation.] I don't know about you, but I could sure go for a drink right about now.

Oh? I do wonder why. [He pauses.] If you are available, I would like to speak to you in person concerning the matter.

Then he must be confused. I'm sure you two can straighten out your misunderstanding.
If he asks me about you again in the future, should I refrain from saying anything?

A drink sounds great. Would you like to go downstairs to the kitchen?
