Drabble: Together
Characters: Aqua and Terra
Summary: After a long day of training, two best friends end up in bed together. Pre-Ven arrival

An earthy smell entered Aqua's nose and it wrinkled once it recognized the scent of dirt, vanilla, and sweat. She slowly opened her eyes, slightly surprised to see Terra lying down next to her. Her eyes swept over him; she was slightly relieved to see that he still had his clothes on. It would not do well if his clothes were somehow off of him. Terra murmured something and shifted. Aqua immediately stilled, knowing that if she made any sudden movements, Terra would wake up. When he didn't, she relaxed.
Aqua quietly got out of bed, making sure that she doesn't wake Terra as she did so. Her feet quietly padded over to the window as Aqua, slowly and quietly, opened up the curtains. The moon shined bright in the sky like a lantern while the many stars around it glistened, almost like diamonds. Aqua sighed and smiled. She always loved looking up the moon. It brought her peace.
She glanced over at the bed when she heard Terra shift again before all went quiet. Aqua pursed her lips, thoughtful, before she made her way back over to the bed. The blunette shook her head lightly when she saw the covers thrown off of Terra. She quietly reached over to grab the blanket and placed it over him; trying not to disturb her friend from a well needed rest. Aqua glanced over at the clock before going over to the window to close the curtains.
Then, she headed back over to the bed, quietly slipping under the covers. Aqua allowed herself to smile a little when she felt Terra put an arm around her waist, bringing her closer until her face was pressed against his chest. She took a deep breath, relishing the scent of Terra before nuzzling her head under his chin. Aqua sighed when she felt the arm around her waist tightened a bit.
Things were going to change, but Aqua knew that as long as she has her friend by her side, everything will be ok.
