World War Two is a fascinating era of history, and as we review the movies that were made during that time, it is hugely sobering to think that, when these movies were filmed, no one on either side knew how the war would end. But still they filmed on, blithely putting the best face on things... Not knowing if they'd be defeated by the time the movie was released.

Today's post on Classically Educated deals with that era, and one British Film in particular: Fires Were Started.

In addition, I did manage to get a tiny bit of writing done, just over a hundred words.
