Ouch. Bronchitis? Well, at least he knows what it is.

You sure you're going to be okay?

*sounds hoarse*

Yeah. I took a blood sample from him, and I found an increased amount of white blood cells and C-reactive protein, therefore it's an increased amount of inflammation.

And - *coughs* I got it too, but that's from the increased exposure I had when I went to save people from the buildings and whatnot. It'll pass in a week to two weeks tops as long as we get plenty of rest and liquids.

I'd suggest text posts until you get better. Less strain on your throat.

I'll make sure the lab doesn't fall apart while you two are gone.

I think I'll be doing that, but more so getting plenty of rest.

And thanks... wait a sec, aren't you still hurt and in the hospital?

I'm still hurt, but they said I don't have to remain in the hospital for longer than a day or two more. It's been two weeks, you know. It's just my arm and leg that's still healing right now.

Um... I want you to get to one hundred percent, Tory, so... I'll ask Grissom to look over the lab for the -- one moment.

*sound of coughing*

... okay, I'm better. I'll ask Grissom to look over the lab for the moment, if he's not too terribly busy.

Not a problem. I'd rather you didn't come in anyway, not while you're sick like this.

If you need and either of you is up to cooking, I have my mother's recipe for chicken soup.

It's very much appreciated, Grissom. Thank you very much.

Ooh? How good does it taste?

It's good. I promise there are no grasshoppers or anything in it. There are enough herbs that you'll at least be able to taste it while sick.

*sound of light laughing* Alright. I'll have either Haku or Horatio cook this for us. Thank you so much, Grissom.

You do know I was joking, right? Well, partly. I'm still going into work. I won't work myself into the ground and it's not like I'm going to be running marathons or lifting weights.

... it's the damn medicines I've been taking that make me so loopy, but... just take it easy, okay?

Don't worry about me. Endurance is one of the few things I got going for me, so I'll be fine.

((OOC: Typo. Over a week, not two weeks. Bleh.))

You know that's nearly impossible, Tory, what with me being the surrogate mom over all of you.

( OOC: It's okay! )

My mom is a worrywart and she'll make me work when I'm sick as a dog if she thinks something needs to be done. So it'll be fine for just a few fractures.

Still not sure when I got adopted into this family though.
