Wanting To Know...
Why is so much abstract art so ... dark. Not necessarily in color, but as if it comes from a tortured soul? It's all bad news and bad feelings. Like, only emo kids paint abstract or something. I can't figure it out. I have spent hours today avoiding actually painting and instead going through Deviant Art's abstract paintings and well... I found one artist that didn't make me feel bad for feeling pretty happy today. WTF? When I go to art museums it's not like that, but surely there are undiscovered artists who like color both physically and metaphorically?
