I was tagged by a friend on facebook. I don't do facebook memes. But I do copy-past them to my LJ! lolz.

1. I was born in Singapore. In Glen Eagle's Hospital, on Orchard Road. It's the best hospital in the world. Not only did they bring me to all of you lovely people, but they were also the first to be able to successfully separate conjoined twins - at the brain. I also grew up in Singapore, in the boarding school The Overseas Family School. I am fluent in Mandarin, English and Hindi. I took French in school, know conversational Thai and majored in Japanese in College! Although I went through a lot of majors in college (started in Creative Writing, then changed to Northern New Mexico Anthropology, then Geophysics, then Japanese + Women in Asia double major).
2. Because of an accident in high school I have no feeling or sensation in my right arm. I had to do three years of extensive physical therapy (3 times a day for 6 days a week) to continue to be able to use it (and well, not have them amputate it). I refer to this as "my handicap" because I am handicapped according to my drivers license! (Sadly, I don't get the good parking spaces though.) Because of this a lot of things had have to do with my hobby - dollies - is very hard for me. Before the accident I was a combat weapons fighter in the SCA. I was once ranked 3rd on the East Coast for Women's battle axe. I am trained in 32 weapons and certified to teach 26. You don't want to break into my house. I sleep with a battle axe by my bed.
3. I collect dolls. I don't just collect them, I love them to death. I dress them. I photograph them. I honestly play with them. They have their own LJ : dark_skada. I even have multitudes of dolly friends and am part of a large doll group here in Dallas that I meet with at least once a month. I have two pullips, two dals, a zombuki blythe (who is, hands down, my favorite doll. sorry), a anthro BJD, a momiji doll, two American Girl Dolls and a barbie-like doll I got in India in 2nd grade that is still one of my favorites. They all live in a china cabinet that has been turned into a doll cabinet. I have a goal for 2009 to get one more blythe, one more pullip, one for dal, and one more BJD during the year. Not to mention I want to clean up my American Girls and get them each a new outfit. I wouldn't mind another momiji doll, either. Except I don't know where to get them anymore, World of Mirth sold them in Richmond, but I live in Texas now...
4. I am married to Jim Wolf. I love him to death. He is my world. We got married on Oct 12th 2008. At a goth/fetish club. We had black roses on our cake (made by beauregardcakes btw)!!! Also - my dollies were in the brides maid's bouquets (well... baskets of flowers). All my wedding pictures are on facebook. If you'd like to see them, let me know. I always swore I wasn't taking my husband's last name unless it was cooler than my maiden one (Jaffarian). Wolf is wayyyyyyyyyyy cooler. Jasmine Wolf is possibly the best name ever. I could totally be a heroine in a fantasy novel.
5. I love comic books! Mainly DC, but I like the X-Men too. They're basically the only Marvel I read though. My all time favorite is Batman, followed super closely by the Green Lanterns. Most of the time they appear together in my obsession over The Justice League. I would leave Jim for Batman. He knows this. And is not worried. Also - I almost believe in God because Neil Gaiman is writing two Batman books. Almost. Neil Gaman and Jane Yolen are my favorite authors. Ever. I'd be worried if Jane Yolen wrote comic books though... I also adore Star Wars, and Dark Horse comics have the best art hands-down. I also read a lot of independent comics like Fables. I want the hardbound of Fables so bad >___>
6. My favorite foods are fragrant steamed white rice (btw, I am a rice snob. It is not hard to make good rice people!!) and dill pickles. Together is fantastic!. My favorite sodas are Squirt and Dr. Pepper. My favorite juices are just about anything that includes cranberry and limeaide. My favorite beers are Saranac Pumpkin and Tiger. I also enjoy Woodchuck Hard Cider. My favorite cake type is Tiramisu, although I am a victim of cute cupcakes, too. I also throughly enjoy sushi, pho and McDonald's chicken nuggets. Waffle fries are a great weakness of mine, although I only eat them dipped in sour cream. I love to cook, although I mainly do asian stuff. I used to win awards for bento lunches I made.
7. I have a cat. Named Coco. She's a black cat with yellow eyes and a shorter than average tail. She is tiny and stretchy. I got her when she was 3, she was feral at the time but after a couple days in a cage in my room she realized that a life with pillows was better than being wild. She talks, I carry on conversations with her. She likes to sleep on my face, or Jim's chest. She is the queen of the neighborhood. She has beaten up all the other cats in the area, and they now bow down to her. We are ever so proud. Her favorite cat food is Alley Cat which is $2 at Kmart or $3 at Big Lots. I'm glad she's cheap to feed. She also loves tortilla chips. She likes to play with toy mice, but avoids things with feathers. When she lived with my parents she was actually good friends with my mom's Amazon Green Parrot.
8. I love steam punk and cyber punk, but don't do much except table top game with them. I play to make a doll of each kind. I used to love lolita but then I learned it was entirely too difficult! So I live vicariously though angelikfiona who is the best lolita I know. I do have a lolita doll. But I've learned that isn't real lolita according to all the rules. So she's lolita-esque. I pretty much dress in mini skirts, unless it's cold. Then I put on pants. I love platform heels and kitty shoes. I wear a lot of black, kind of punk-y stuff. Cute punk though. Includes pink. And cat ears. I've never been one to care about what others thought of me.
9. My boobs are a 34HH. That's 10 Ds, btw. They weigh 10lbs each and hurt like hell. Someday I hope to have the money to pay the copay on my insurance to get them reduced. Someday. The good news is, they look fantastic XD Except because I have to buy Extra Large tops and shit I often look and feel fat. You'd have no idea I hide a very skinny waist under the only clothing that fits my boobs. I do have great legs though... and having danced ballet, tap, etc for 14 years I think they'll pretty much always be awesome. Unless I really let myself go or something.
10. I used to be a massive American Otaku (not to be confused the Japanese Otaku). I attended cons and cosplayed for 10 years. At one point my manga collection was over 500 books - everything but Azumanga Diaoh, Yotsuba, Strawberry Marshmallow, Paradise Kiss and Nana has now been either sold or given away as gifts. I have a massive anime collection (which I'm never getting rid of), that includes every single episode of Sailor Moon, all the Sailor Moon movies and all of the Sailor Moon live action (including omakes). All of my anime is in Japanese with either english or chinese subtitles. I also collect chinese movies, especially Kung Fu. I have over 100 different Kung Fu movies - but 90% of them are on asian VCDs.
11. My parents actually disowned me about a week before my wedding but still attended and even paid for it. My parents are insane. They are missionaries - the type that shove the bible down your throat. But they're the worst kind ever. My dad is an addict of ... many things. He's been very abusive growing up. And my mom is terribly codependent and abuses prescription drugs. I have an older brother who does everything right all the time. And a twin sister who we last saw last March when she picked up her dog. She didn't come to my wedding. It still makes me sad. I also have a "second family" called the Strausses. I've been in their lives since before their second two children were born. They have four kids. I lived with them on and off in High School. I refer to their children as my younger siblings. I call them Mom and Dad. They are the ones who got me into BDSM. They are also insane... @_____@;;
12. I am into BDSM. I get called a BDSM missionary! lolz. I'm a submissive, my husband is my Master. We have always seemed to be involved with BDSM groups. Even helped found one in Richmond (although it's super crappy -.-;; ... but that happened and we left. It's gotten worse since, too!). I now work as a fetish model for The Black Lion Armory. I get paid to go out to a club, wear pretty hand-made leather goods, strike up conversations and convert people to BDSM. It's super fun. I will also be their only model for still pictures when the website actually gets off it's feet. Half the reason it's been a sad, slow progress on that is because we sell so much at the clubs we can't keep an inventory for the website!
13. I love video games. Growing up you'd never find me without my gameboy. My favorites to this day are still pokemon and final fantasy tactics. I don't own any consoles for the TV so I mainly play on my computer. I was beta for World of Warcraft and played for a really long time, except after about 7 months as a level 60 I got bored and stopped playing. I haven't picked it up again. Before WoW I played Evercrack and Asheron's Call. I'd probably still play Asheron's Call if the graphics weren't crappy -.-;; I played Maplestory for a really long time because I have an addiction to cute things. Especially beating up cute things. That's why Pokemon is my favorite. Furry cute things beating the crap out of each other FOR THE WIN. I have a collection of Psyducks from when I was little and Jim got me addicted to Pikachu and keeps buying me pikapikagoodness. I now mainly play games on facebook (which is sad) (especially since I rarely use facebook for keeping up with friends and stuff...).
14. I love table top pencil and paper games more than video games. Like D&D, and other d20s. And white wolf stuff. And I have books for a game that takes d16s but I can't find any of those. wtf? Oh wells. I've larped - a lot - before. I also do a lot of online text-based roleplaying. Well... I take that back. I USED TO do a lot of text-based. Sadly I've fallen out of that. I can't find any good ones anymore. The last one I did was an amazing steampunk one. But I had to stop because I had been in a very serious relationship with another player and it was too hard after we broke up. I still mourn the loss. And I adore board games. Favorites being Settlers of Catan and Apples to Apples. I also pwn at Trivia Games. No one will play then with me anymore... *tear*. Also, I do not know how to play chess. I don't play on learning. But I like the ponies. Unrelated but I also can not ride a bike. I never learned how. I am wicked at rollerblading though. I used to rollerblade to and from school. Like Card Captor Sakura. Only I didn't have a cute little winged bear-cat guardian.
15. I am severely bipolar. I am on a ton and a half of medications. I go crazy when drunk (30 second mood swings that go from killing people to sobbing). I'm not allowed to drink if Jim isn't around, and he never lets me get drunk anymore. As part of my therapy I paint. I don't think I'm all that good. I paint over 90% of my paintings. I've entered a small few in shows. I've actually won two awards. But that still doesn't give me the confidence to share my artwork with the whole world (like Deviant Art or something).
