Apple Butter on Marianne Dashwood from Shop Yarn Love

I was bullied by my mans last night into posting a birthday wishlist. As I have no real idea on what I actually WANT O_O;; I decided to instead use it as an excuse to go check out some massive pretties that I’ve been avoiding doing because WHO HAS MONEY FOR THAT?!? xD So this way its not REALLY torture, its research. *nods*

What follows is Part One of my ~research~ xD YARN LOVE!! A whole mess of yarns from stores that I’ve wanted to try out for AGES because the photos make me want to touch them so completely..!

Pictured above is Apple Butter on Shop Yarn Love’s Marianne Dashwood. I LOVE this store and all its yarns because they’ve named them after literary heroines of DELIGHTFUL choice. Well, except for Scarlett O’Hara >_>;; xD Unfortunately, a whole lot of Scarlett O’Haras are actually nice too. DAMN THEM. BUT LETS NOT DWELL ON THAT. When I discovered them I wanted to just buy out their entire stock of Elizabeth Bennet, Marianne Dashwood & Amy March.

Also, they have FUN and take delicious photos of their yarns. And lets face it, I’m a SUCKER for delicious photography. xD

See? Told you they had some really nice Scarlett O’Hara stuff. *rolls around*

Peony Baby Alpaca DK from Shibui Knits

I stumbled upon Shibui Knits while randomly clicking around on pretties at Ravelry. I’ve wanted to try them out ever since but I’m a little afraid they’d be GORGEOUS and then I’d be all ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTE and want to spend all my money on their stuff xD

* All the Shibui Knits images are from Fyberduck’s Shibui Knits Yarns set

Dragonfly Silk Cloud from Shibui Knits

Mulbery Merino Kid from Shibuiknits

Orchid Sock from Shibui Knits

Peacock Marino Alpaca from Shibui Knits

Wasabi Highland Wool from Shibui Knits

Though, if we’re honest here, I’d want pretty much ALL the colours from all the sets xD I mean holy shit on the sock colours alone I’d love Peony, Mulberry, Blossom, Chinese Red, Cranberry, Wasabi, Kiwi, Juniper, Dragonfly, Peacock, Orchid, Stone, Tweed, Zinnea, Roppongi, Earth & Marine. O_O;; xD

Vanity yarns aside, on a more practical note I’ve been scoping out Aussie organic cottons so that I can make toys and clothing for friends’ babies (and to sell, eventually) but I’m yet to actually BUY any because of so many other things I’ve already got. But I’d LOVE to get some samples of some of these next yarns to see if I like crocheting with them. :D

Blue Sky Alapaca: Multicotton range

How cute does Limeade & Gherkin look?! EEEE! :D

Blue Sky Alpaca Skinny Cotton range

OH MAN so many options here! Blackberry? French Blue! Basil, Pear, Glacier, MALLARD!! ♥, Sprout, Cherry & Coffee.. MmmMMmmm…

Debbie Bliss: Eco Baby range

Okay so I’d be happy with probably any and ALL of these to test out, I swear. xD Though they’re a little more on the pastel side than the bright brights that usually attract my attention - it IS a baby range and for some reason people tend to not sell baby items in bold colours. I have no clue why really, bolder colours would be easier to keep ‘visually’ clean - SURELY? XD

I really do need to source Aussie organic stuffings too, but I figure for anything I’m making test items of the normal ‘humpty dumpty’ kapok stuffing I already have an abundance of is MORE than adequate. xD

WOO PART ONE ENDED! Part two will probably be FABRICS! xD Or kitchenware… Actually probably kitchenware since fabrics might take me a while, and at least I KNOW I want some crucial kitchenie things xD I swear whenever I write a wishlist of things I want to own in the future it ALWAYS ends up looking like an engagement/bridal shower/wedding registry xD

PS: I know you can get Debbie Bliss yarns from The Wool Baa in Melbourne - which is where Jen aka knitickyboo works! YEAH! :D <33333
