A pocket full of plush!

PHOTOMANIAS! MANIA MANIA MANIA! /me ceases to channel Mr Bankrupt.

So today was my work's Christmas dinner, a Mad Hatter's Tea Party which went off without a hitch, albeit a little warm for the boys, and was chock full of delicious treats both savoury and sweet. Which means, I get to post my photos of the completed plushie buddha I made! :D

GOD IS A DJ! ♥

Hehehe! His DJ cans and profile. He was made for a work project -- For our christmas party this year at work we all had a secret santa with a twist. We had to then find out something(s) that no one else knew about them and buy a present to match...

...I got my boss, who is the best boss EVER so I was pretty stoked. XD He likes calico curtains; his family call him Mr Bear (who knows why?!); he loves to mix music and can play with GarageBand well and truly after the cows have come home, left, and come back to get milked again; and a few years ago he asked me to draw him a buddha for a cd cover but I never got a chance to. And thusly, DJ BUDDHA was born :D Don't you just want to stick your fingers into his belly button? XD

Yeah DJ Buddha Bear! XD I love that his cans also double as an 'ye olde' asian hairstyle <3

Originally he was going to have a very little body and be all chibi-like. A happy accident with me wrapping calico around my hand to test a bigger body for endalia & qudsielf eventuated in him becoming a puppet. Sweet sweet coincidence. ^_^ DJ BUDDHA BEAR LOVES YOU!

HELLOES!

And because I have random flowing in my veins, I made a short movie of DJ Buddha Bear rocking out to Special D's "Come with Me" XD

+ While I'm photospamming, here's some other piccies of the plushie drooping kitty I made (with the assistance of endalia with the stuffing), to go on my head for the Tea Party.

HEHEHEHE GUSHYCHEEKS! This is the prototype kitty which I ended up using anyway. XD His cheeks got sewn on.. Rather hastily. XD

HE IS THE DROOPIEST OF ALL THE LANDS! This prototype definitely showed me where I should improve the pattern and what kind of fabrics work better. The 'thin' cotton drill I made this out of meant that the stuffing kept working its way out strand by strand through the weave. *laughs* I'm thinking I should make little 'bouquet garni' style pouches for the bean-weights to insert into him so the lines are softer and the beans dont travel all around his stuffing. XD

Rear end, just for reference. HAHAKITTYBUTT! ♥

Also, this morning I took the "other" bus into work which takes me to the "other" end of Rundle Street *waggly John Black Eyebrows™* which meant..! I got to see this awesome set of sand sculptures going up in the mall. Steampunkery in the form of the Toy Factory in sand form? How could I resist some snaps?

Snowmen choir, awwww.. Wait, should that be Snowperson? OR Faux-Snowperson? Faux-Sand-Snowpeople? Ah, PC, such a minefield of silliness.

So its christmas so I felt I had to grab a token shot of the incomplete Santa. I love how he's just sort of melding and forming out of the sand, like a Sand-Terminator. You can imagine him hiding in the sand while you're out lying by the beach, and then he emerges, triumphant, ready to molest you. The perve.
