The other day I swear to the gods that he was telling me his operation on Friday was 7am but he'd have to check when he got back home, and I replied "WHAT THE HELL?!?! SEVEN IN THE MORNING!??" In reality he didn't say ANYTHING. And just now I opened the fridge door four times, each time wondering why it didn't make the kettle turn on...
