Oh Noes!

Yesterday we trundled off to Fort Edmonton which was actually a LOAD of fun -- its where they're filming the new Brad Pitt movie about Jesse James -- you get on a steam train and "GO BACK IN TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME" to the early 1800's and slowly walk your way through a fort and old streets walking to the present via 1885, 1905 and the 1920s. We're geeks, we love that kind of thing. XD

The whole time we were there we kept talking about it being an awesome setting for a stupid Dean Koontz novel or "THE BEST HORROR MOVIE EVER MADE™" or even both! On the train "GOING BACK IN TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME" there was a LOT of of older people, people with little children and then the four of us and anoth group of four chicks around our age. The stage is set! Its just Allan and seven women that are 20-somethings so obviously we're the main characters that must fight to survive through time..!

Its a compelling read/watch already!

We got some fabulous footage on Tinka (my cam for those not savvy to my "MUST NAME EVERYTHING!" policy) of Yvonne killing Allan with a really large Cooper's Mallet, Yvonne slowly opening a REALLY creaky door in the cold cold Ice House -- that was actually really quite frightening it was SO LOUD! Even got some comedy relief of Mandi and I stroking and prodding a Beaver! GOLD!

But alas the film shall never be seen and Scorsese shall never have such a run for his money, because at a little trading post where I had to stop and have "EMERGENCY SURGERY" on an enormous blister forming on one of my heels, Tinka was lost!

Yeaps, we're sure it would've disappeared in about a two minute interval, I must've put it down when Yvonne was putting the band-aid on my foot and we think someone must've walked off with it. We looked all over the little cabin and I even went through the rubbish bin outside lest I'd thrown it out with the band-aid papers, but no, it was no-where to be found. Maybe Scorsese saw his chance and ran off with the footage, or maybe a small child just grabbed it and ran, perhaps we'll never know.

It was still a wicked day, even though I was lamely broken (ha! bad pun!), I got to suck on strawberry sticks and weird out Mandi, be totally impressed by loads of items from the past (the church pews were SO comfy! I'm so jealous even though I don't go to church!), had one of the best foot baths EVER when we got home, went out on a ghost tour of Old Strathcoma which was.. Interesting. Fun, but definitely interesting and not in the way you would think. At the end of the tour the guide started talking about the Exorcist. WTF did that have to do with anything? *dies laughing* And then back to Y's for pajama-party style movie night consisting of a bit o' Samurai Jack, The Last Unicorn, The Dark Crystal, and then a bit more Samurai Jack after Mandi and Allan piked it. HURRAH Y! FOR WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

*giggles*

So to sum up. My camera is GONE. My footage is lost. I stil haven't seen a Moose.

X'D!
