fun fun fun in the melbourne sun
today i went with slurpee & mel to the record fair at camberwell civic centre :D it was GREAT (minus the creepy comic book nerds & kiss FANATICS hahah)
i got the tubes double LP for $10 & sham 69 for $10
& an iron cross patch
2 poison patches
an AC DC patch all for 1 buck
a leather jacket in great conditon for $20 from camberwell market! i'm going to sell it for about 5 times what i paid i think :D
after the market shut we went to chapel too look in sugar jones... SO EXPENSIVE! i know who shops there.. those sin city & other slightly more mainsteam sounding bands groupies(or wannabe groupies:D).. i find it odd that at a gig there will be zillions of girls all dressed up like rockstars (or rockstars fuck buddies) but you hardly ever see anyone dressed like that during the week.. hahaha
we wandered around.. chapel.. looked in 'euro trash' they had a studded leather for $1200!!!!! OMFG!!!!! hahhahaha it was pretty ugly too!! hahahaha
spent ages looking in dixons.. i found a record by a band called spunk bubble.. late 80s sydney punk band.. its called 'speak lebanese or die' hahahaha i wasn't going to buy it.. at first.. hadn't even heard the bands name.. but then i decided id get it for julians birthday.. becuase a record with that sort of name is right up his alley.. anyway me & slurpee went halfs on it.. cos we though it would be CRAP! but we listened to it.. spunk bubble are one of the best bands i've heard in ages!!!!!! they sound sort like ATTAK i guess.. REALLY GOOD! heavyer sounding
