Well, I've just made an idiot of myself being interviewed by BBC London. I've just been down the road to see what's left, and the place stinks of firewood. For those of you who aren't aware, I've always lived in Greenwich, and I used to like wandering around the Cutty Sark when I was little. It was a bit of a shock to see the news this morning, and I got back home to find my mother very tired after being woken up at 5am by all the fire engines. There are still two helicopters circling overhead. We're just round the corner from the dry dock where they've been restoring the Cutty Sark, and now it looks like there won't be much left to restore. Apparently the welders had a couple of huge gas tanks on site, so it's a miracle that when she went up they didn't explode as well. There's some suspicion of arson, and if that is the case I hope the catch the bugger and keelhaul him. That would seem only fair.
