Old Lady Shoes

Today, I went over to T's Grandparents house. It is way over in the NE and they are both in their 80's. Her Grandma has dementia and it bed ridden and her Grandfather takes care of her and keeps the house in (somewhat)order. It was pretty incredible to see both of them. I sat with her Grandma for a minute and she was so happy to have me near her. She of course had not idea who I was, but she seemed at peace and that was nice. T also loaded me up with a lifetime supply of almost-never-worn old lady shoes that fit perfect and have the thick rubber 70s-like bottoms for extra comfort.

What a strange world we live in.
