(no subject)
So much time in my studio that I have barely had a minute to write. Things are good...and I am cooking like no other. I have learned a TON of new techniques which makes me soooo happy. Everything from needle felting to making a portable loom for weaving rugs. Seriously, it's been so great.
To top it off, I went to the Bread & Puppet Museum the other day and was just blown away by the old amazing barn tucked in the hills of Vermont. It was complete overload to my brain and I will have to look over my photos again to remember everything that I saw. They are actually coming here to put on a puppet show this Sunday and I can't wait!! Myself and several others get to be in the show with them and it will be fantastic.
DED came up for a visit and it was so nice to get away for an evening. We stayed at some creepy mansion place one town over and the room had strawberry wallpaper. I ate a lot of ice cream and fell asleep watching a movie. I am slowly realizing that the only way I can really take a brake is to remove myself and stay far, far away from my studio. It was nice to catch up with someone from home, especially someone from the Bay. D, he will be calling you to play this weekend when he comes into town. He misses you too! And, he just got Laura Palmer's head in the body bag tattooed on his arm. It's amazing!
I have about a week left here and than I am off to NY for a week. I am simultaneously excited to wrap things up, go to NY and get back to Portland (all at the same time). It's been a really great adventure!
