Minho was once left by the one he loved the most in his life. He tried to search for him but he didn't found him. There wasn't a single clue left saying where he can find him. He just banished one night and didn't come back. He was so hurt and lost. After a week of being banished he received a letter from someone. He opened it and he's so sure it was from his love. After reading the letter, he ordered everyone to stop the search for his love. A year after, he decided to move on and search for someone who can give him the happiness he wanted. He then decided to move to Korea and continued his high school in a top level, yet not so expensive Academy. There he met four top honored students who became his friends. Though he likes all of them, there was one particular person who’s the brightest of them all that caught his heart. Is that person will be the person will help him to move on and find his happiness?
On the other hand, there is Jonghyun who was deeply madly in love with Key. Unfortunately, he has to give up his love for Key and tried to find someone else who will try to make him forgot his feelings for him. But he planed failed and decided to fight for him. Is he going to succeed or this will just make them separate from each other?

Chapter 8
Sweet Dreams, Harsh Reality, Cockblocking Since 1908
Jonghyun was busy reading manga when he heard the doorbell ring in the evening. He groaned in annoyance, because who ever pressed that doorbell just disturbed him reading his favorite manga. By the time he opened the door, he saw the person in front of him. Which made him glad and already forgot his manga-reding habits. It was Key.
Key greeted him with a smile. Jonghyun melted right there and then. He didn’t noticed that he’s been spacing for a while now so he blushed a little when Key told him to close his mouth before he drool. After letting Key in, the both boys faced each other. Jonghyun smiled and looked into Key’s eyes. He’s looking for sadness or disappointment in Key’s eyes and he found nothing. Key smiled at him and asked,
“What?”
“What?” He replied grinning very wide until the tips of his mouth reach his ears.
“Why are you looking at me with that stupid smile on your face? You’re giving me goose bumps.”
“Nothing…uh, are you mad at me?” Jonghyun asked a little unsure. Key shrugged his shoulders shaking his head saying,
“No. I will never be mad at you.” and gave Jonghyun a warm smile.
Jonghyun hugged him. He’s so grateful Key’s not mad, because it’s so hard to please Key when he’s mad. He let go of him and immediately drag him in his bedroom.
“Where are we going?” Key asked, as Jonghyun drags him.
“To my bedroom.” he replied immediately without further hesitations. As soon as they reached his room, he let Key sit on his bed and run to his closet. He was searching for two pairs of pajamas. After a minute of searching he already found it. He was supposed to close his closet, when suddenly he saw the couple t-shirts that they wore the last time, Key had his overnight stay in Jonghyun’s house. He returned the pajamas and took the couple t-shirts and a pair of new boxer shorts.
“What are you doing there Jonghyun?” Key asked, as he was watching Jonghyun’s back curiously moving. Jonghyun turn his head with a grin on his face and went near to Key. He handed him his dress and told him to change. Key cocked his head curiously and asked,
“Why?”
“Because you’re going to stay here for the night.” He said.
Another day pass. Jonghyun was still lying in the bed. He can feel the ray of the sun touching his face. The light was hitting his eyes and causes him to grunt. And also because he still have school to attend. But after awhile he smiled and thought maybe, it was Key who opened the curtain to wake him up. He felt someone tapping his shoulder and calling out his name. He pretends that he’s still not awake, so the shake is getting stronger and stronger. Followed by a girly voice saying,
“Oppa, wake up! You’ll be late for school.”
This made him open is eyes abruptly and said,
“Why did you call me oppa Key?” With his eyebrows meeting each other, he was looking up and down to what he was wearing, he added, “And why are you wearing a girl’s school uniform?”
“Why should I not wear girl’s uniform? And what Key? Yah! Oppa! Wake up now before mom come and hit you! You’re already late and because of you I’ll be late too!” Jonghyun then realized he was just dreaming and abruptly opened his eyes (for real) and wake up. It was Hyuna, his younger sister who wake him up. He blushed in realization that he just talked on his sleep. He then let out a disappointed sigh. He thought it was Key who was waking him up. But to his disappointment, it was just a dream. He slowly sit up, rubs the sleepiness off of his puppy eyes.
‘The only way to live is to wake up.’ He thought.
“Did Key come?” He asked his sister on her way out. He hoped that at least Key came and tried to wake him, or ask for him. Hyuna shook her head mouthing ‘no’. Jonghyun stands up with a frown in his face. He’s in his way to his bathroom door when he heard his sister’s voice.
“Oppa, did you and Key oppa had a fight?” Jonghyun turns around and cocked his head with curiousness.
“No, why’d you asked?”
“It’s just I saw him with Taemin oppa yesterday on their way to Key oppa’s house. I didn’t see it nicely but I think I saw him crying?”
“C-crying?”
“Yeah, why is he crying anyway? You didn’t know?” Jonghyun lowered his head and felt guilty. He didn’t know Key will cry because of that. Yeah, he’s expecting Key shouting at him now or giving him kicks and hits but, he didn’t expect him to cry over it.
“Are you sure you didn’t do anything stupid? Because Key oppa never cried just because of someone else.” Yeah, she’s right. Key never cried to anyone or because of anyone before. Except that time when Key’s parents left him before they went abroad for work. Also when they were kids, he and Key had a fight because of Jonghyun’s stupidity.
“Yah Hyuna! Jonghyun! You are going to be late! Go down now and eat your breakfast!” Their mother shouted.
“We’re coming mom!” Hyuna replied. When she turns around, Jonghyun just went in the bathroom. After that, she just shrugged and left.

“Hey! Taemin! Key!” They mentioned as the two turns around to welcome the gloomed Jonghyun and the bright Onew.
“Oh hi hyung! Good morning!” The cheerful Taemin responded. Now the four of them met each other it feels like they are in the middle of a storm. They are calm but you can still feel the tense.
“Oh!” Onew exclaimed which made the three stops on their tracks.
“What is it Onew? Is there a problem?” Key asked.
“Uh, can you guys go ahead? I forgot my English book in my house.”
“We can wait for you here.” Taemin suggested. Onew waved his hands in disagreement and said,
“No, we’re already late and I’m actually can't remembered where I placed it.”
“Let’s just share if you want.” Jonghyun said after.
“NO!” Onew give him a signal by his eyes, which made Jonghyun to shut up.
“My science project plan was inside of that book so whatever, I still need to get it.”
“Okay, you’re really not just clumsy but careless too. Anyways, we’ll be heading now. Bye!” Key said and supposed to pull Taemin’s hand when he realized that Taemin was already with Onew’s gasps and the hands he was holding was Jonghyun’s. He immediately let go of Jonghyun’s hand and looked at Onew. He found him waving goodbye at them.
“Yah! Dubu! Why you took Taemin with you?”
“I want someone to be with me while I walk on my way to school.” Key glared at him then Onew and the flailing Taemin disappeared from their sight.
“Let them have their privacy. So we can have ours.” Jonghyun smilingly said and took Key’s hands again. He takes note in his mind to thank Onew later. But Key pulled his hand away and walks ahead. Jonghyun was shocked. He felt nervous now. He thinks he knew what’s going to happen next.
“Key!” Jonghyun shouts and catch up with Key. He grabbed Key’s arms and pulled him back to face him.
“I’m sorry about yesterday. I will never ever do it again. I promise.” Jonghyun said desperately. Just thinking that Key will give him again silent treatment scares him. Being so near to him yet so far away, being beside him but unable to touch him or talk to him, it scares him. It’s a ruthless torture for him.
“I forgive you.” Key said coldly and looked at Jonghyun’s eyes. “Can you leave me alone now?” and released his hands from Jonghyun’s grips.
“K-key,” Jonghyun grabbed again his hands and intertwined their fingers. He smiled even though what he wanted is to cry.
“Jonghyun, can you let go my hands please? I’m afraid that our classmates will misunderstand us.” Key said and waggles his hand to free it from Jonghyun’s grasps.
“Why? We’re doing this every time. Besides, we’re even hugging in school. So what’s wrong with this? Besides, everybody knows we’re close and-”
“Starting from now; I don’t want you to do this to me. I don’t want you to hug me, holds hands with me, go alone or have an overnight stay in my house.” Key said turning his back to Jonghyun. That expression, he saw it already before, and he really hates to see it. He also doesn’t want this. But he really needs to move on. He already had enough pain and he don’t think he can still live with that pain.
“Why? Didn’t I say sorry? Why do you have to punish me like this? I called you yesterday right? I told you I was in an emergency, right?” Jonghyun replied and turns Key again.
“Oh yeah, you didn’t tell me what’s that emergency you attend yesterday. What’s that emergency again?” Jonghyun was taken aback. He’s finding a way to lie. He thinks that telling the truth that he was with Yuri is not a wise idea to do now.
“I, my friend called me to help him to his-”
“Lie. You’re lying to me.” Key cut’s him.
“Key,”
“Next time, before you lie, makes sure that you can hide the truth from me. Practice more. You still sucks.” With that, he left Jonghyun alone & frustrated.
Jonghyun run is hands from his face to his hair and pull it. He shouts his frustration away then kicks the first thing he saw on the road.
“Shit.”

The two are secretly following Jonghyun and Key. They can't hear what the two we’re talking about because they we’re far away from them. They’re afraid they might disturb them in their conversation. After a while, they took another way to school, which was the one near Minho’s house.
“Onew hyung, why do you have to pull me with you?” Taemin whined.
“Because we have to give those two time to be alone together.”
“Huh? No, we can't. We can't let Jonghyun hyung get Key hyung back. Key hyung’s hurt because of him.” Taemin said covering his hands after realizing that he just tells Onew something.
“Taemin, tell me the truth. What do you know?” Onew said pulling Taemin’s hands away from Taemin’s mouth.
“Spill it out Taemin-ah, in exchange, I will tell you also something in return.” Onew grinned. Taemin sighed in defeat.
“Fine, but don’t tell Key hyung that I told you ok?”
“Okay.” Onew promised and continued walking.
“Yesterday, Jonghyun hyung and Key hyung supposed to go out, but Jonghyun hyung didn’t come because; as he said he had some emergency and he was really needed to be there. So instead of going home, I asked Key to go to the park with me to relax and get over with his disappointment. When we are suppose to leave the park, we saw Jonghyun hyung and Yuri kissing. And of course, Key was hurt and started to cry. He didn’t stop crying until we reached home. He really cried his heart out. He cried and cried until he falls asleep.”
“That punk, he didn’t mention to me that they kissed.”
“What do you mean? What do you know?”
“Actually, the reason why Jonghyun didn’t make it yesterday was because Yuri forced him to come with her to the park.”
“Oh? What did they do there?”
“Yeah, they actually broke up.”
“They what? Break up?”
“Yeah. Yuri found out that Jonghyun doesn’t really love her and he’s just using her as his rebound. They talk about that matter and decided to break up.” Taemin widened his eyes and catch both Onew’s arms.
“So, you mean, Jonghyun and Key can be together now?” Taemin asked with excitement in his voice.
“Yes, if Key will give him a chance.” Onew smiled.
“Waaah!” Taemin clasped both of his hands together with a bright smile plastered on his face. But the smile fades away when he remembered something.
“But I guess, not.”
“Why?”
“Remember another reason why the both of them didn’t dare to build up a relationship?” Onew furrowed his eyebrows trying to catch up of what he’s talking about. Then it hit him. Yeah, right. ‘that’.
“Ah, you’re right.”
“I guess we still can't do anything about it.” Taemin said sighing.
“Let’s just help those two make up already.”
“I guess that’s the least we can do right now.” Taemin let out another helpless sigh.
They suddenly become silent. Onew is stealing glances at Taemin. The last time he looked at Taemin, Taemin caught him and smiled at him.
“Is there something bothering you hyung? Is there something you want to say?” Taemin asked brightly. Onew looked at him and asked,
“I-I’m just curious. Ever since, we we’re young you never mention to us that you had a crush. Did ever in your life you fell or got attracted to someone?” Taemin tilted his head and replied,
“Now that you mentioned, I don’t think I had. I think I got into school work too much that I didn’t ever think of these kinds of things.”
“But you have secret admirers; girls and boys want to date you. Didn’t you like any of them?”
“I didn’t like any of them. I just want to be friends with them. That’s it.” Taemin replied calmly. Onew bit his lips the nth time as he gripped tightly onto his bag’s strap.
“Uh, I hope you’ll not be offended. And what I am going to ask you is… I-I really just want to know. Do you think I can ask it to you?” Taemin gave him a hesitant look but nodded anyway. He’s curious about what he’s going to ask him. He didn’t do anything bad for him but can’t ignore the fact that his scared. But he still felt a little uncomfortable about this matter.
“Sure, what is it hyung?”
“D-do, do you like…Who do you feel more attracted to? Boys or girls?” Taemin froze on his place. Onew literary smacked his face and then continued to apologize to Taemin. Taemin then said something after a minute he fell silent.
“Now, that you asked, I don’t know. Why’d you asked anyway?” he replied now with a pout.
“Be-because,” Onew stuttered. “Uh, Taemin,” ‘I think, now’s the time. It’s now or never.’ Onew thought. Onew took his hands and said,
“because…because, I…” Taemin looked at him. Anticipating the next sentence he expects out of Onew mouth.
“I, I…I li-”
“Taemin-ah!” yes, Onew was cut off. And Onew is not happy with it. On the contrary, Taemin brightly smile at the person who just called him and waved at him. That time, he wanted to pull Minho, punch him in his face and cut him into pieces, then chopped him in smaller pieces and throws him into the sea and feed to the sharks. But unfortunately, he doesn’t have the potential to do that.
“Minho hyuuuung!” Taemin chirped. “Good morning! How are you?”
“Good morning too. I’m fine. And you look fine too I guess.” Minho replied returning a smile. He faced Onew and greeted him with a smile.
“Good morning Onew.”
“Yeah, good morning too.” What’s good in the morning if this early you’re already cockblocking us? You mother father cockblocker since 1908! Onew exaggerating and gave Minho a half hearted smile.
“Why is it that it’s only the two of you walking to school? Where are Jonghyun and Key?”
“They walk to school before us.” Taemin replied. Then he remembered that Onew was telling him something. He faced Onew and asked to continue what he was trying to tell him. Onew shrugged and said that he already forgot what he was trying to say. Taemin being excited to Minho’s presence just let it go and give the attention to Minho.
Their whole journey to school is like a death march for Key, Jonghyun & Onew. But like a parade for Taemin and Minho. The irony of life.

Lunch break came and the five of them gathered rather awkwardly around the table. Minho and Taemin can feel the tense in the atmosphere but preferred to stay quiet. They we’re eating quietly. Taemin is not used to this kind of atmosphere. Since he already reaches his limits he breaks it by saying “So,”
And still nobody dares to say something. Minho however gave Taemin an apologetic look. Like saying, ‘I’m sorry. I’m not the man with the talk.’ Taemin just rolled his eyes like saying, ‘Geez, thanks, that’s the thing I kind of need right now.’ He didn’t give up though and continue talking, until Key said something.
“I’m done eating. I’ll be heading to the class first.” He left the four of them staring at him leaving. Taemin let out a helpless huff and stared at his best friend’s retreating back.
“How could he say he was finish? He didn’t even touch his food.” He whined. Jonghyun on the other hand was just playing on his food. He wants to run after him but he’s unsure. Key hates it when someone’s running after him and pushing him into something he doesn’t like. He’s afraid that if he does that, Key will just be mad at him more. But his friends telling him otherwise, they are pushing him to go after him.
“What are you still doing here Jonghyun hyung? Go after him!” Taemin said a matter of fact. Jonghyun then stands up and left running after his love.
When the two of their friends left, those who are left behind are the ones who become silent. Unlike the first time, it was Minho who breaks the awkward silence wrapping them.
“What’s wrong with those two?” he asked. He’s not supposed to ask this he cares a lot on other’s privacy. Besides, it’s not his nature to put his nose to others problems, but he felt that, he’s also part of their group now. So it’s just natural to ask what’s going on and show his concern. He also wants them to make up. He suddenly smiles to his self when he realized that he’s starting to change in a good way. Besides, he can't take to see Taemin being in an uncomfortable situation.
“They actually had a misunderstanding.” Taemin replied. Minho hummed in return. The three of them are silently eating their lunch. Taemin can feel a dark aura around him and which made him uncomfortable. He looked at Onew who looks like his spirit left his body. He’s supposed to talk to Onew when he heard someone calling his name. He looked up to find the voice. And then the voice reaches their table and said,
“Taemin-ssi, can I have a moment with you please? It’s about the dance routine. I can't find Key so I came to you. I hope I didn’t disturb you.”
“Ah, no you didn’t. Uh, Onew hyung, Minho, I’ll head first. Don’t wait for me. I might get late so, let’s just see each other in the class. Okay? Let’s go Junho.” And with that, Taemin left. Minho stands up after; Onew looked at him and stops him from leaving.
“Where are you going?” Onew asked.
“I’m going to the class first.” Minho replied.
“Why?”
“I just have to go to the class first. I have to finish my notes.” Minho reasoned. But the truth is he doesn’t feel comfortable around Onew. He feels that Onew hates him and he can feel that he’s giving him some dirty looks from the first time they met each other this morning.
“No, stay. We have to talk.” Onew said in a firm voice. This made Minho kind of nervous. He sat down though and asked,
“What’s up?”
“Let’s make this straight. Do you like Taemin?” He asked looking directly to Minho’s eyes.
“Of course I do, who doesn’t?” Minho replied immediately. He knows what Onew trying to point but he prefers to act a little innocent.
“No, I mean, are you in love with him?” Onew corrected. Minho smirked and looked at Onew.
“What makes you say that?” Minho said calmly.
“Because I can feel it.” Onew replied also looking straight to his eyes.
“If I do?”
“Stay away from him.” Minho smirked.
“If I don’t want to?” Minho knows he shouldn’t say these things. He’s not so sure if he really loves Taemin. Yes, he feels comfortable and happy with him. But he can’t be so sure.
“Are you asking for a challenge Choi Minho?” Onew doesn’t want to do this since he’s not so confident but he just can't give Taemin away.
“It’s up to you. But if I were you, better not challenge me. I hate losing. And I’ll do everything to win.” He doesn’t know what got into him that he said these things. But whatever it is, he accepts the challenge.
“Do I look like I care? I love Taemin and I’ll never let you take him away from me.” Onew said and left the table.
Minho just stares at Onew’s back. Kind of regretting what he did.
“What did I get myself into?”

Jonghyun catch up with Key and pulled his arms to face him. Key widened his eyes and tried to release his arm from Jonghyun’s grip. Jonghyun just tighten his grip on Key’s arms and pulled him somewhere.
“Jonghyun, didn’t I told you to just leave me alone?” Key protested trying to jerk his arm off Jonghyun’s grip. But the more he protests, the more Jonghyun tightens his grips. They were in a less crowded place. Jonghyun pushed Key on the wall and cornered him with his arms.
“Key, I’m really sorry. I can explain.” He started. Key looked up and sighed hard, obviously, he’s trying to suppress his tears.
“J-jonghyun,” he started, still not looking at Jonghyun. He’s looking at the ground now wishing for it to open and eat him alive.
“I don’t think there’s a reason to explain.”
“No! There is, I have to tell you.”
“I have to go now. I have something else to do.” Key said coldly and trying to release himself but Jonghyun didn’t let him.
“I’m not in love with Yuri!” Key froze to what he heard.
“W-what?”
“I’m not in love with her. I never have been in love with her.”
Key almost believes him and jump from happiness but then he remembered, ‘How about the kiss? Does that kiss mean nothing?’ So, before he let himself believe and have those false hopes again, he thought of a way to escape from his grips and stick to his plans. And that is “ To move on” Plan.
“So what? What do I care about it?” He said and pushed the dino away from him.
Jonghyun was shocked. Did he hear it properly? Did he just hear Key say he doesn’t care? So, Key really didn’t like him huh. He’s sees him as his best friend and the fact that it will never change. But then he just remembered what Yuri said, he should make an effort. Be a man and face the consequences. So he took a deep breath, run after Key and pulled his arm to face him. He has to confess now. It’s now or never. So, he looked into Key’s beautiful eyes. Key looked at him with annoyance because he was still hurt but it didn’t stop him from confessing. He opened his mouth and say,
“Key, I am really sorry but please listen to me.” Key tries to pull his arms, he wanted to struggle more but his effort became nothing the moment he looked into Jonghyun’s eyes and those eyes shows sincerity and truth. Key can’t do anything but to give up and listens to Jonghyun. Jonghyun sighed and continued,
“Yesterday, me and Yuri, are together. Not because we wanted to date but because we decided to…break up.” Key’s eyes widened. He can’t believe the words he heard from Jonghyun. Jonghyun pulled Key close and prepares himself to confess. ‘This is it.’ He thought.
“I was in love with someone else, and that someone is-” Jonghyun stopped. Not because he lost his courage, but because they heard a voice calling Key. They both face the same direction where the voice came from and there they saw Dongwoon. ‘What a great timing.’ Jonghyun thought and cursed Dongwoon in his heart for being a cockblocker. Key pushed his self away from Jonghyun immediately and faced Dongwoon with a smile.
“Sorry, did I interrupt something. It’s just I really need you Key.”
“Sorry, but Key will not go anywhere. We’re still not done tal-” Key interrupts him and asked again Dongwoon.
“Why, what happened?” Key asked.
“Just come with me and you’ll see.” Dongwoon replied and snatch Key from Jonghyun.
Jonghyun was supposed to protest but Key stopped him and told him to continue their talk later. Dongwoon smirked and wrapped his hands on Key’s waist.
While Jonghyun cursed Dongwoon to death, Dongwoon on the contrary is smiling in victory.

Jonghyun hugged him. He’s so grateful Key’s not mad, because it’s so hard to please Key when he’s mad. He let go of him and immediately drag him in his bedroom.
“Where are we going?” Key asked, as Jonghyun drags him.
“To my bedroom.” he replied immediately without further hesitations. As soon as they reached his room, he let Key sit on his bed and run to his closet. He was searching for two pairs of pajamas. After a minute of searching he already found it. He was supposed to close his closet, when suddenly he saw the couple t-shirts that they wore the last time, Key had his overnight stay in Jonghyun’s house. He returned the pajamas and took the couple t-shirts and a pair of new boxer shorts.
“What are you doing there Jonghyun?” Key asked, as he was watching Jonghyun’s back curiously moving. Jonghyun turn his head with a grin on his face and went near to Key. He handed him his dress and told him to change. Key cocked his head curiously and asked,
“Why?”
“Because you’re going to stay here for the night.” He said.
Another day pass. Jonghyun was still lying in the bed. He can feel the ray of the sun touching his face. The light was hitting his eyes and causes him to grunt. And also because he still have school to attend. But after awhile he smiled and thought maybe, it was Key who opened the curtain to wake him up. He felt someone tapping his shoulder and calling out his name. He pretends that he’s still not awake, so the shake is getting stronger and stronger. Followed by a girly voice saying,
“Oppa, wake up! You’ll be late for school.”
This made him open is eyes abruptly and said,
“Why did you call me oppa Key?” With his eyebrows meeting each other, he was looking up and down to what he was wearing, he added, “And why are you wearing a girl’s school uniform?”
“Why should I not wear girl’s uniform? And what Key? Yah! Oppa! Wake up now before mom come and hit you! You’re already late and because of you I’ll be late too!” Jonghyun then realized he was just dreaming and abruptly opened his eyes (for real) and wake up. It was Hyuna, his younger sister who wake him up. He blushed in realization that he just talked on his sleep. He then let out a disappointed sigh. He thought it was Key who was waking him up. But to his disappointment, it was just a dream. He slowly sit up, rubs the sleepiness off of his puppy eyes.
‘The only way to live is to wake up.’ He thought.
“Did Key come?” He asked his sister on her way out. He hoped that at least Key came and tried to wake him, or ask for him. Hyuna shook her head mouthing ‘no’. Jonghyun stands up with a frown in his face. He’s in his way to his bathroom door when he heard his sister’s voice.
“Oppa, did you and Key oppa had a fight?” Jonghyun turns around and cocked his head with curiousness.
“No, why’d you asked?”
“It’s just I saw him with Taemin oppa yesterday on their way to Key oppa’s house. I didn’t see it nicely but I think I saw him crying?”
“C-crying?”
“Yeah, why is he crying anyway? You didn’t know?” Jonghyun lowered his head and felt guilty. He didn’t know Key will cry because of that. Yeah, he’s expecting Key shouting at him now or giving him kicks and hits but, he didn’t expect him to cry over it.
“Are you sure you didn’t do anything stupid? Because Key oppa never cried just because of someone else.” Yeah, she’s right. Key never cried to anyone or because of anyone before. Except that time when Key’s parents left him before they went abroad for work. Also when they were kids, he and Key had a fight because of Jonghyun’s stupidity.
“Yah Hyuna! Jonghyun! You are going to be late! Go down now and eat your breakfast!” Their mother shouted.
“We’re coming mom!” Hyuna replied. When she turns around, Jonghyun just went in the bathroom. After that, she just shrugged and left.

“Hey! Taemin! Key!” They mentioned as the two turns around to welcome the gloomed Jonghyun and the bright Onew.
“Oh hi hyung! Good morning!” The cheerful Taemin responded. Now the four of them met each other it feels like they are in the middle of a storm. They are calm but you can still feel the tense.
“Oh!” Onew exclaimed which made the three stops on their tracks.
“What is it Onew? Is there a problem?” Key asked.
“Uh, can you guys go ahead? I forgot my English book in my house.”
“We can wait for you here.” Taemin suggested. Onew waved his hands in disagreement and said,
“No, we’re already late and I’m actually can't remembered where I placed it.”
“Let’s just share if you want.” Jonghyun said after.
“NO!” Onew give him a signal by his eyes, which made Jonghyun to shut up.
“My science project plan was inside of that book so whatever, I still need to get it.”
“Okay, you’re really not just clumsy but careless too. Anyways, we’ll be heading now. Bye!” Key said and supposed to pull Taemin’s hand when he realized that Taemin was already with Onew’s gasps and the hands he was holding was Jonghyun’s. He immediately let go of Jonghyun’s hand and looked at Onew. He found him waving goodbye at them.
“Yah! Dubu! Why you took Taemin with you?”
“I want someone to be with me while I walk on my way to school.” Key glared at him then Onew and the flailing Taemin disappeared from their sight.
“Let them have their privacy. So we can have ours.” Jonghyun smilingly said and took Key’s hands again. He takes note in his mind to thank Onew later. But Key pulled his hand away and walks ahead. Jonghyun was shocked. He felt nervous now. He thinks he knew what’s going to happen next.
“Key!” Jonghyun shouts and catch up with Key. He grabbed Key’s arms and pulled him back to face him.
“I’m sorry about yesterday. I will never ever do it again. I promise.” Jonghyun said desperately. Just thinking that Key will give him again silent treatment scares him. Being so near to him yet so far away, being beside him but unable to touch him or talk to him, it scares him. It’s a ruthless torture for him.
“I forgive you.” Key said coldly and looked at Jonghyun’s eyes. “Can you leave me alone now?” and released his hands from Jonghyun’s grips.
“K-key,” Jonghyun grabbed again his hands and intertwined their fingers. He smiled even though what he wanted is to cry.
“Jonghyun, can you let go my hands please? I’m afraid that our classmates will misunderstand us.” Key said and waggles his hand to free it from Jonghyun’s grasps.
“Why? We’re doing this every time. Besides, we’re even hugging in school. So what’s wrong with this? Besides, everybody knows we’re close and-”
“Starting from now; I don’t want you to do this to me. I don’t want you to hug me, holds hands with me, go alone or have an overnight stay in my house.” Key said turning his back to Jonghyun. That expression, he saw it already before, and he really hates to see it. He also doesn’t want this. But he really needs to move on. He already had enough pain and he don’t think he can still live with that pain.
“Why? Didn’t I say sorry? Why do you have to punish me like this? I called you yesterday right? I told you I was in an emergency, right?” Jonghyun replied and turns Key again.
“Oh yeah, you didn’t tell me what’s that emergency you attend yesterday. What’s that emergency again?” Jonghyun was taken aback. He’s finding a way to lie. He thinks that telling the truth that he was with Yuri is not a wise idea to do now.
“I, my friend called me to help him to his-”
“Lie. You’re lying to me.” Key cut’s him.
“Key,”
“Next time, before you lie, makes sure that you can hide the truth from me. Practice more. You still sucks.” With that, he left Jonghyun alone & frustrated.
Jonghyun run is hands from his face to his hair and pull it. He shouts his frustration away then kicks the first thing he saw on the road.
“Shit.”

The two are secretly following Jonghyun and Key. They can't hear what the two we’re talking about because they we’re far away from them. They’re afraid they might disturb them in their conversation. After a while, they took another way to school, which was the one near Minho’s house.
“Onew hyung, why do you have to pull me with you?” Taemin whined.
“Because we have to give those two time to be alone together.”
“Huh? No, we can't. We can't let Jonghyun hyung get Key hyung back. Key hyung’s hurt because of him.” Taemin said covering his hands after realizing that he just tells Onew something.
“Taemin, tell me the truth. What do you know?” Onew said pulling Taemin’s hands away from Taemin’s mouth.
“Spill it out Taemin-ah, in exchange, I will tell you also something in return.” Onew grinned. Taemin sighed in defeat.
“Fine, but don’t tell Key hyung that I told you ok?”
“Okay.” Onew promised and continued walking.
“Yesterday, Jonghyun hyung and Key hyung supposed to go out, but Jonghyun hyung didn’t come because; as he said he had some emergency and he was really needed to be there. So instead of going home, I asked Key to go to the park with me to relax and get over with his disappointment. When we are suppose to leave the park, we saw Jonghyun hyung and Yuri kissing. And of course, Key was hurt and started to cry. He didn’t stop crying until we reached home. He really cried his heart out. He cried and cried until he falls asleep.”
“That punk, he didn’t mention to me that they kissed.”
“What do you mean? What do you know?”
“Actually, the reason why Jonghyun didn’t make it yesterday was because Yuri forced him to come with her to the park.”
“Oh? What did they do there?”
“Yeah, they actually broke up.”
“They what? Break up?”
“Yeah. Yuri found out that Jonghyun doesn’t really love her and he’s just using her as his rebound. They talk about that matter and decided to break up.” Taemin widened his eyes and catch both Onew’s arms.
“So, you mean, Jonghyun and Key can be together now?” Taemin asked with excitement in his voice.
“Yes, if Key will give him a chance.” Onew smiled.
“Waaah!” Taemin clasped both of his hands together with a bright smile plastered on his face. But the smile fades away when he remembered something.
“But I guess, not.”
“Why?”
“Remember another reason why the both of them didn’t dare to build up a relationship?” Onew furrowed his eyebrows trying to catch up of what he’s talking about. Then it hit him. Yeah, right. ‘that’.
“Ah, you’re right.”
“I guess we still can't do anything about it.” Taemin said sighing.
“Let’s just help those two make up already.”
“I guess that’s the least we can do right now.” Taemin let out another helpless sigh.
They suddenly become silent. Onew is stealing glances at Taemin. The last time he looked at Taemin, Taemin caught him and smiled at him.
“Is there something bothering you hyung? Is there something you want to say?” Taemin asked brightly. Onew looked at him and asked,
“I-I’m just curious. Ever since, we we’re young you never mention to us that you had a crush. Did ever in your life you fell or got attracted to someone?” Taemin tilted his head and replied,
“Now that you mentioned, I don’t think I had. I think I got into school work too much that I didn’t ever think of these kinds of things.”
“But you have secret admirers; girls and boys want to date you. Didn’t you like any of them?”
“I didn’t like any of them. I just want to be friends with them. That’s it.” Taemin replied calmly. Onew bit his lips the nth time as he gripped tightly onto his bag’s strap.
“Uh, I hope you’ll not be offended. And what I am going to ask you is… I-I really just want to know. Do you think I can ask it to you?” Taemin gave him a hesitant look but nodded anyway. He’s curious about what he’s going to ask him. He didn’t do anything bad for him but can’t ignore the fact that his scared. But he still felt a little uncomfortable about this matter.
“Sure, what is it hyung?”
“D-do, do you like…Who do you feel more attracted to? Boys or girls?” Taemin froze on his place. Onew literary smacked his face and then continued to apologize to Taemin. Taemin then said something after a minute he fell silent.
“Now, that you asked, I don’t know. Why’d you asked anyway?” he replied now with a pout.
“Be-because,” Onew stuttered. “Uh, Taemin,” ‘I think, now’s the time. It’s now or never.’ Onew thought. Onew took his hands and said,
“because…because, I…” Taemin looked at him. Anticipating the next sentence he expects out of Onew mouth.
“I, I…I li-”
“Taemin-ah!” yes, Onew was cut off. And Onew is not happy with it. On the contrary, Taemin brightly smile at the person who just called him and waved at him. That time, he wanted to pull Minho, punch him in his face and cut him into pieces, then chopped him in smaller pieces and throws him into the sea and feed to the sharks. But unfortunately, he doesn’t have the potential to do that.
“Minho hyuuuung!” Taemin chirped. “Good morning! How are you?”
“Good morning too. I’m fine. And you look fine too I guess.” Minho replied returning a smile. He faced Onew and greeted him with a smile.
“Good morning Onew.”
“Yeah, good morning too.” What’s good in the morning if this early you’re already cockblocking us? You mother father cockblocker since 1908! Onew exaggerating and gave Minho a half hearted smile.
“Why is it that it’s only the two of you walking to school? Where are Jonghyun and Key?”
“They walk to school before us.” Taemin replied. Then he remembered that Onew was telling him something. He faced Onew and asked to continue what he was trying to tell him. Onew shrugged and said that he already forgot what he was trying to say. Taemin being excited to Minho’s presence just let it go and give the attention to Minho.
Their whole journey to school is like a death march for Key, Jonghyun & Onew. But like a parade for Taemin and Minho. The irony of life.

Lunch break came and the five of them gathered rather awkwardly around the table. Minho and Taemin can feel the tense in the atmosphere but preferred to stay quiet. They we’re eating quietly. Taemin is not used to this kind of atmosphere. Since he already reaches his limits he breaks it by saying “So,”
And still nobody dares to say something. Minho however gave Taemin an apologetic look. Like saying, ‘I’m sorry. I’m not the man with the talk.’ Taemin just rolled his eyes like saying, ‘Geez, thanks, that’s the thing I kind of need right now.’ He didn’t give up though and continue talking, until Key said something.
“I’m done eating. I’ll be heading to the class first.” He left the four of them staring at him leaving. Taemin let out a helpless huff and stared at his best friend’s retreating back.
“How could he say he was finish? He didn’t even touch his food.” He whined. Jonghyun on the other hand was just playing on his food. He wants to run after him but he’s unsure. Key hates it when someone’s running after him and pushing him into something he doesn’t like. He’s afraid that if he does that, Key will just be mad at him more. But his friends telling him otherwise, they are pushing him to go after him.
“What are you still doing here Jonghyun hyung? Go after him!” Taemin said a matter of fact. Jonghyun then stands up and left running after his love.
When the two of their friends left, those who are left behind are the ones who become silent. Unlike the first time, it was Minho who breaks the awkward silence wrapping them.
“What’s wrong with those two?” he asked. He’s not supposed to ask this he cares a lot on other’s privacy. Besides, it’s not his nature to put his nose to others problems, but he felt that, he’s also part of their group now. So it’s just natural to ask what’s going on and show his concern. He also wants them to make up. He suddenly smiles to his self when he realized that he’s starting to change in a good way. Besides, he can't take to see Taemin being in an uncomfortable situation.
“They actually had a misunderstanding.” Taemin replied. Minho hummed in return. The three of them are silently eating their lunch. Taemin can feel a dark aura around him and which made him uncomfortable. He looked at Onew who looks like his spirit left his body. He’s supposed to talk to Onew when he heard someone calling his name. He looked up to find the voice. And then the voice reaches their table and said,
“Taemin-ssi, can I have a moment with you please? It’s about the dance routine. I can't find Key so I came to you. I hope I didn’t disturb you.”
“Ah, no you didn’t. Uh, Onew hyung, Minho, I’ll head first. Don’t wait for me. I might get late so, let’s just see each other in the class. Okay? Let’s go Junho.” And with that, Taemin left. Minho stands up after; Onew looked at him and stops him from leaving.
“Where are you going?” Onew asked.
“I’m going to the class first.” Minho replied.
“Why?”
“I just have to go to the class first. I have to finish my notes.” Minho reasoned. But the truth is he doesn’t feel comfortable around Onew. He feels that Onew hates him and he can feel that he’s giving him some dirty looks from the first time they met each other this morning.
“No, stay. We have to talk.” Onew said in a firm voice. This made Minho kind of nervous. He sat down though and asked,
“What’s up?”
“Let’s make this straight. Do you like Taemin?” He asked looking directly to Minho’s eyes.
“Of course I do, who doesn’t?” Minho replied immediately. He knows what Onew trying to point but he prefers to act a little innocent.
“No, I mean, are you in love with him?” Onew corrected. Minho smirked and looked at Onew.
“What makes you say that?” Minho said calmly.
“Because I can feel it.” Onew replied also looking straight to his eyes.
“If I do?”
“Stay away from him.” Minho smirked.
“If I don’t want to?” Minho knows he shouldn’t say these things. He’s not so sure if he really loves Taemin. Yes, he feels comfortable and happy with him. But he can’t be so sure.
“Are you asking for a challenge Choi Minho?” Onew doesn’t want to do this since he’s not so confident but he just can't give Taemin away.
“It’s up to you. But if I were you, better not challenge me. I hate losing. And I’ll do everything to win.” He doesn’t know what got into him that he said these things. But whatever it is, he accepts the challenge.
“Do I look like I care? I love Taemin and I’ll never let you take him away from me.” Onew said and left the table.
Minho just stares at Onew’s back. Kind of regretting what he did.
“What did I get myself into?”

Jonghyun catch up with Key and pulled his arms to face him. Key widened his eyes and tried to release his arm from Jonghyun’s grip. Jonghyun just tighten his grip on Key’s arms and pulled him somewhere.
“Jonghyun, didn’t I told you to just leave me alone?” Key protested trying to jerk his arm off Jonghyun’s grip. But the more he protests, the more Jonghyun tightens his grips. They were in a less crowded place. Jonghyun pushed Key on the wall and cornered him with his arms.
“Key, I’m really sorry. I can explain.” He started. Key looked up and sighed hard, obviously, he’s trying to suppress his tears.
“J-jonghyun,” he started, still not looking at Jonghyun. He’s looking at the ground now wishing for it to open and eat him alive.
“I don’t think there’s a reason to explain.”
“No! There is, I have to tell you.”
“I have to go now. I have something else to do.” Key said coldly and trying to release himself but Jonghyun didn’t let him.
“I’m not in love with Yuri!” Key froze to what he heard.
“W-what?”
“I’m not in love with her. I never have been in love with her.”
Key almost believes him and jump from happiness but then he remembered, ‘How about the kiss? Does that kiss mean nothing?’ So, before he let himself believe and have those false hopes again, he thought of a way to escape from his grips and stick to his plans. And that is “ To move on” Plan.
“So what? What do I care about it?” He said and pushed the dino away from him.
Jonghyun was shocked. Did he hear it properly? Did he just hear Key say he doesn’t care? So, Key really didn’t like him huh. He’s sees him as his best friend and the fact that it will never change. But then he just remembered what Yuri said, he should make an effort. Be a man and face the consequences. So he took a deep breath, run after Key and pulled his arm to face him. He has to confess now. It’s now or never. So, he looked into Key’s beautiful eyes. Key looked at him with annoyance because he was still hurt but it didn’t stop him from confessing. He opened his mouth and say,
“Key, I am really sorry but please listen to me.” Key tries to pull his arms, he wanted to struggle more but his effort became nothing the moment he looked into Jonghyun’s eyes and those eyes shows sincerity and truth. Key can’t do anything but to give up and listens to Jonghyun. Jonghyun sighed and continued,
“Yesterday, me and Yuri, are together. Not because we wanted to date but because we decided to…break up.” Key’s eyes widened. He can’t believe the words he heard from Jonghyun. Jonghyun pulled Key close and prepares himself to confess. ‘This is it.’ He thought.
“I was in love with someone else, and that someone is-” Jonghyun stopped. Not because he lost his courage, but because they heard a voice calling Key. They both face the same direction where the voice came from and there they saw Dongwoon. ‘What a great timing.’ Jonghyun thought and cursed Dongwoon in his heart for being a cockblocker. Key pushed his self away from Jonghyun immediately and faced Dongwoon with a smile.
“Sorry, did I interrupt something. It’s just I really need you Key.”
“Sorry, but Key will not go anywhere. We’re still not done tal-” Key interrupts him and asked again Dongwoon.
“Why, what happened?” Key asked.
“Just come with me and you’ll see.” Dongwoon replied and snatch Key from Jonghyun.
Jonghyun was supposed to protest but Key stopped him and told him to continue their talk later. Dongwoon smirked and wrapped his hands on Key’s waist.
While Jonghyun cursed Dongwoon to death, Dongwoon on the contrary is smiling in victory.
