A true enigma...

I just got back from watching today's episode of NCIS; Enigma.

The episode started off somewhat slow and I didn't think it would be as interesting or as fun as I found some of the other episodes to be, seeing as it sounded like a typical character-driven ep to me. That is, more serious, darker, introspective, pretty much focused on one person throughout, etc.

I was wrong and glad! =D

Here are some of my the memorable highlights and general comments.
  • Number one on the list is Fornell. =) As I'm more familiar with his role as Lt. Henry Goldblume
    from Hill Street Blues I find it lots of fun to see him starring in a resident badass role. Hee.
  • The interaction between Gibbs and Fornell, arguing, bantering like brothers... Sweet. Although I
    would feel mighty uncomfortable manhandling an elevator like that if I were in it. o_o
  • The moment when Gibbs is bent over Ducky in order to see the scorched body of that FBI agent...
    Hmmm, Kate's right, he does need glasses. ;P In any case, great scene, great, great, great.
  • Tony screaming YELLING LOUDLY while running like the bats of hell were after his behind. Tony
    (and even Kate) are beginning to grow on me. Is this a bad thing per se? ;P
  • Gibbs one-upping the FBI agents that tailed him with an umbrella. So cool!
  • Gerald! Love it when Gerald and Ducky share scenes. Gerald needs love. Aherm. =3 I feel for Ducky
    and can sympathise, since I can't read maps either. Granted, there is quite an age difference, but still.
  • When Ducky has to 'reprimand' Kate and Tony for interpreting Gibb's behavior wrongly. It all felt
    very family-like to me. Gibbs = Dad; Ducky = Mom; Kate, Abby & Tony = children. Wee~
  • I want Abby's labcoat. It looks so cool (on her).
  • Lt. Cameron. I love a good mystery/horror/supernatural plot twist and for me to realise not
    all was right with Colonel Ryan's mindset... Absolutely fantastic, although at the same time so very sad.
    It reminded me of a movie my Mom was very fond of, called Primal Fear. =)
  • Okay, I know I didn't get a clear view of the flasks Gibbs held up (in his basement). But did the
    left one actually say "Your Loving"?? If it was, an enigma indeed. %D

Now. The true enigma however is that somehow this episode has become my current favorite. (Mind you, I still haven't seen LT. Jane Doe, or Meat Puzzle...) Like I said, I really didn't think I would like it as much as I did. Maybe the fact that I really wanted to see Bete Noire this week instead of the next one had something to do with it. ^^;

Ick, I really wish I'd had a pen and notepad with me when I went to watch. I'm sure I've forgotten something... Ah well, it's not the end of the world. And I'll soon own all episodes anyway. XD

Oh, and the reason why I haven't seen Lt. Jane Doe or any of the recs I received is because our Internet connection is unstable. Every time I try to download something bigger than a couple of MB our connection will waver and shut itself off at random intervals. I'll have to keep watch until the download's finished... Unfortunately, I haven't found the time to do that yet. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get the chance.

I'll be x-posting this to ncis_gibbsducky, so my apologies to the ones who are forced to see my double posts in their f-lists! ^^;
