Ok, so they finally hired a coordinator after not having anyone but me for over a year.
She is 24 and fresh out of grad school, so she comes here thinking everything will be in order and we function like a normal archive. Um... no. And I told her about all the issues we have, well the ones I could at the time, and she says "Oh that is all going to change." Mmmmm ok.
So today is her 5th day? I noticed yesterday that she bought a new car. I know this because when we left on Friday, she drove the same exact car I do (same color and everything, except an LX not a DX). So... she had her first 3 days and buys a new car? Isn't that a bit presumptuous? I don't know, I can understand waiting a week or something, but that is too soon. The mean side of me hopes she gets fired. >.<
I am a little bitter tho. The job description said that an MLS and degree in history was "preferred" not "required." I know all of the stuff back here, she knows NOTHING. This is great, I am still doing all the work, and she gets to ride off of me. I know I can't ask her for help now. I didn't even get an interview. The position was only paying $37,000, which is crap for most experienced ppl. But I assume since she just got out of school, it must have been great for her to get a job that fast. And I think anyone would take a job at this point in our economy.
Billy still can't find even a part time job. No one is hiring, or no one is hiring with the understanding that he has school starting next week. They want open availability. Bastards.
