Special Edition CDs

...What do you think of them?

At first I was bound and determined not to go out and re-buy cds that I already have. I've only ever re-bought one cd and living on a graduate-college student budget doesn't seem to have much room for something like this. (That one time btw was a very recent re-purchase of Lunar Eclipse so that my friend could have a copy when she goes to the Bon Jovi concert in Louisville in July ^_^. It will bring her luck on her quest to meet David :D).

But, being a college student, I work part time at Wal Mart... and have to walk past our display EVERY DAY when going between the time clock and my register. I caved pretty early for a copy of the self titled, and I just have to say DAMN. There are only four live tracks, but they are amazing. Jon hits notes that he probably couldn't hit anymore no matter now many steroids he takes, and **Alec has a bass solo*** during Get Ready. Like, a real bass solo in a Bon Jovi show. The bass player in me was/is very very happy with the purchase.

But then I went online and "verified" my cd with their "vault" and was somewhat dissappointed. Partially due to my internet being REALLY bad where I live, I couldn't stream any of the music they have up to stream. I don't want to pay more to download it either. And I was really hoping to yoink some of those pictures to use in desktops and graphics and stuff, but they aren't in a format or quality to do that. Meh.

Not to mention the other cds have as little as 2 live tracks.

Anyone else invest in a special edition cd? or all 10? :p What do you think? Which would you recommend the most? Least?

p.s. speaking of desktops...new with Hugh, as promised :D

1280 over at my page :)

Though I kind of feel bad because ever since I bought the Memphis soundtrack I keep wanting to call Hugh "Crazy Huey" and reassure him that he'll be on tv one day! promise! Hockadoooooo!
