to be completely honest, i thought 'you give love a bad name' was ruined. i love that song to bits, but when he added the beat box to it, that ruined it for me. :/
I told my partner that there are some problems with predicting who is going home tonight:
1 - Bon Jovi fans who don't normally watch AI are going to be watching and voting tonight.
2 - People are going to love or hate things like Blake's rendition of You Give Love A Bad Name. I, hated it. She loved it. but she's not a Bon Jovi fan.
I'd take Jordin's bad performance over a bastardized beatbox version.
Livin' On A Prayer was hideous! Blake was fantastic! I also loved Phil and Lakisha. The only one I truly didn't care for was Jordin. She could have picked something better I think.
I may have to watch it again to be sure but, beat-boxing aside, I think Blake did Bon Jovi the most justice out of all the contestants. I think Melinda did a pretty good job as well.
Wanted was completely ruined, and as much as I wanted to love Phil singing Blaze- I just couldn't.
See everyone told me they're doing Bon Jovi last night (doing Bon Jovi *giggle*) and I was like I'm not watching because I don't want to hear some 2 bit singer F'up "Prayer", which from the comments above is what happened.
I'll watch tonight though for the part they're preforming.
Jordin didn't fuck it up, it just was the wrong sing for her to sing. She's a pop singer and should have done a newer jovi song like its my life or somethinggg.
WHAT?! I used to love Blake but the version he did of You Give Love A Bad Name was so horrible I want him to leave. I can't believe he beatboxed to that song!!! It's not an upbeat song that you can beatbox to! It's angry and hurt and upset, he totally killed the mood of the song!
As far as my favorite, Jordin, well, I liked the version of the song, but I could tell she got every note wrong lol. When she was done I said "ok I liked her but the judges will hate her"
My personal favorite last night was Lakesha, believe it or not, cause I never really liked her... But I think her never having heard Bon Jovi before really helped her do her own version of the song, and it looked like she really felt the song.
And Phil, well, I don't like him in general but ever since Country week he's been getting better and better and I didn't dislike his version, still I thought it lacked originality.

That's all I have to say. The rest were okay.
