My mom's back from Malaysia and even though I insisted that she not buy me presents, she brings home a lot for me! ^_^ PROOFZ. Reverse psychology works, people.
*deep breath, deep breath* SHE BOUGHT ME A QUEEN SHIRT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SJFHADJFHASLDJHFALJHFASDKJHF YEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Actually, she also bought me a great set of gold jewelry that was really cheap, a neat skirt (that I have to turn into a dress because, yeah, I'm THAT short) and an adorable sarong with lizards running across it. It was kinda funny.
Mom: I bought you jewelry!
Me: Oh, yay. *smiles and fusses over box of said jewelry*
Mom: Oh, and I got you this. *tosses a bag over to me*
Me: *opens it*
Me: OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm currently feeling really stuffed up and sick because of this unfortunate weather we're having. It rains, it stops, it rains, it stops... then it'll continue to shine until the most inopportune moment (e.g. while you're briskly walking to the Comm Dept for your next class) when it, surprise, rains again. BAH. I hate this kind of "stuffiness"--you know, the kind that isn't really coughs or fever or headaches, but a little bit of all of them, stuffed into your brain and refusing to come out? Yeah, that kind. It's painful and it's irritating. I can't even swallow properly because I have the beginnings of a sore throat, I think.
Lordy-lord, what's up with this, eh?

This early morning, I watched a load of George Harrison videos. And I just ADORE George, seriously. He's so awesome. He's so brilliant. He's so fucking underrated... And although this was a great trup down memory lane, I just ended up proving to myself that I've come to love John just a wee bit more than Georgie now. :P I can't help it! George might be all that, but John is so... fab when he sings. :P

OMG, I just heard that Syd Barrett (former singer/leader of Pink Floyd) just died a few hours ago, at the age of 60. :(
I'm not a huge Pink Floyd fan, but I'm sad all the same. PF was his brainchild and they turned out to be a fantastic group who churned out fantastic music. It's sad and frightening. Who's going to be next, I wonder. I'm afraid to know the answer.
But until then, I have to say that Syd Barrett's spirit will live on in his music. Shine on, you crazy diamond, you. ♥
