EvSem magic
That was, bar none, the best EvSem ever. Seriously. Even though we were conducting seminars in a place akin to a basement, the people who were there made it so worth it.
It was four days of fun (in the sun? Not really) and work. But with Strains, work and play merge. I can't really concretely explain it. The four-hour-plus long sessions of planning and critiquing and the usually less than four hours of sleep every night and the physically exhausting venue... all worth it. Thanks _leche for giving us Caliraya. ♥ *loves and schnuggles you*
I love this organization, seriously. There's nothing I wouldn't do for it. And the whole COA-Strains merger was cleared up--we even had Clark, a member of COA, there with us to evaluate how we conducted the EvSem. And during the commitment toasts, he even told us that this was the best EvSem he'd ever been to as well. That made us feel great.
My commitment toast was a wonderful experience, too. I raised my glass to everyone in Strains and promised that with all the love in my heart that I could give, I would give to Strains ten times over. It's not the receiving of appreciation in return. It's in the act of giving that loving is truly felt. And in the case of Strains, it is so true.
Does it sound stupid that I'm professing my love to an organization, an inanimate object? I love Strains and all its complicated-ness (VMO, PSS, Leadership, Diagnosis ho!), but it's the people that I'm head over heels in love with. I love you all. Team MCDo, PSS, HR, Artemis... Strainers 2006-2007. I love you alllllllllll!!!!!!
