My Air Hockey reign continues!
SO, I may have found the greatest arcade game of ever today....Matt you should appreciate this:
It's a doubles air hockey table that randomly spits out pucks, going up to 3 at a time!!!!!!!!
It's a double-wide table with an extra long goal, and four paddles sitting in the corners. It is meant for doubles play, which is fun, but the absolute greatest is to grab both paddles and start blasting eachother. IT IS SOOO MUCH FUN!!!!
So I went with 3 costume ladies to Dick Blick in Columbus and a few other places around town, ate at the cheesecake factory in some swanky part of town, and went to GameWorks?! Maybe that's the name. They only had one working doubles air hockey table, but we rocked that bitch. It had the extra wide goal, chutes on either side with flashing warning lights whenever it would spit out a new puck and a swinging deflector across the middle so flying pucks wouldn't obliterate your opponents face. But it was swinging, so i would blast both the puck and the guard on a few choice plays.
I have never had that much fun playing air hockey, it's double-barrel singles air hockey on a timer, so you can score like crazy. My best score of the evening was something like 17-9. When the three pucks come out it gets CRAZY, pucs flying everywhere, trash talk nonstop, and wildly swinging both arms nailing pucks into holes. It's an absolute free-for-all. I was not beaten the entire evening, facing two ties, one in a singles match and one in a doubles match, and the doubles match started with a chinese fire drill and my main nemesis pulled a punk move and scored unfairly during the drill. I did win a super-massive ice cream off her though, which she was certainly not happy about. However, she can play and she is fierce....but I conquer all in air hockey. I scored with a 3rd arabesque, the double-fisted haduken, and several bitch slap bounce-shots, once almost scoring with the spinning behind the back strike. I have found a new air hockey archrival and life feels that much more complete here.
Otherwise working on grenades and rifles, having a good time. Columbus is a great city. Next time they promised to take me to the zoo...to see the tigers.
