Alright well it's about time for an update before I hop in the shower and go kick it with Andrew. Friday during the day was pretty boring, just buildup for work and getting ready. Afterwards though, I came home.. hung around for a while and then caught a ride with Sarah, Casey, and Jack over to Aaron's house where Kara was hanging out. Kara got in the car and she drove us all back to Enid which we didn't get into until after 6 if I remember right. We just threw on a movie and went to sleep, the sun was coming up by then so it was kinda wierd. I'm used to staying up past 4 but I hate being awake with the sun. Makes it hard to sleep. On the way to the city I believe before I was in the car they stopped at a 7-11 and saw a man with no legs digging on a wall with a straw, and he said "I don't know why everyone's trippin', I'm just tryin' to dig stuff." So that was kind of an inside joke for the whole fuckin weekend. How often is something like that really going to happen? I still have a hard time believing it. Pretty funny shit.
Anyway, Saturday is more when the hanging out was done. I got up around 11-12 and then went to the park to play on the shit with the gals. I regretted that after getting on this spinning toy. I felt like I was gonna fly off and die. Terrifying. There were also swings and see-saws involved. Then back to Karas house. I went and cashed my check, and we got some food at Carls.. then Jack brought us some beer. Matt, who had come to see Kara the same weekend I was there, got a 12 pack of Bud, I got Red Stripe, and Kara got Lost Lake. Sarah went to work around 5 and we all started drinking more around 8 or 9. By 12-1 we were somewhat trashed and Sarah finally made her way back over with Casey and Jack. After a couple more hours of bullshitting around. We threw on King of the Hill and got more sleep. Sarah woke up at 8:30 when she wanted to wake up at 7. I don't think her work was pissed off though.
Sunday started around 10 if I remember right. Most of the day was just spent bullshitting around town trying to find something fun to do. It was Enid though so there was no pool playing on Sunday. We ended up just hitting a few stores.. eating at Godfathers Pizza, and sitting down in a coffee shop till Sarah was closer to getting off work. Back to Karas house again to get shit ready, and once Sarah showed up we took off for the city in 2 cars. I think we met up with Aaron around 6-7 and hung around and watched movies for a couple hours. The girls and Matt took off a little after 8-9 and ended up coming right back to Aaron's scared of a tornado. Me being the only Okie in a room full of people tripping out was pretty funny. I exclude Aaron from that statement though. He's got a big ass shelter, why would he worry? Lucky bastard. Me Aaron and Kevin went and shot some pool, then I hitched a ride home and finally got some sleep to make up for the tiring weekend.
The rest of the week has been pretty basic, but I've been sleeping a lot. I'm definately not used to getting out of town.. it really takes it out of me. It was fun though.. I'm a lot more open to the idea of a road trip or a longer vacation that I'm used to. I think I want to go to Dallas for a weekend sometime, and Tulsa. I just need a plan on what to do and where to stay, and I'll work on that some other time. It's Wednesday, and Andrew's back in town which is really cool. Haven't seen the bastard in like 9-10 days or something like that. It's gonna be good to hang out. Nothing special about tonight I don't think, and another boring shift at work. Tomorrow is payday though which is always nice, and then the short Friday shift. I'm sure I'll be doin' something. Saturday if all goes well will be the fabled BBQ.. so I would expect another post after the weekend.. that is, if anyone actually reads the garbage I write.
