Working With Cartoon Images - Bright/Vivid Colouring

A tutorial inspired by dark_sephy who wanted to know how to create bright, vivid icons using cartoon images. There are probably several ways to do this, but this is the method I've been using lately. I use Photoshop CS2 and have no idea how well this will translate to other programs.

I know, eh? I hadn't seen it in years, and then I saw it on DVD and bought it. I cried like a baby the first time I watched it - I had to pause it and take a breather after one part in particular. So sad. v_v

Tree star!

I'm quite sad that DVDs exist now, though. When I was very small, my mum decided my sister and I should be "child stars" and we were in the commercial for Pizza Hut at the beginning of the VHS, but now that there's a DVD, I doubt it's still on there.

Great tutorial! I love seeing cartoon tutorials because there aren't very many and yours was quite good!

I love the way this turned out *__* You totally need to post this at toon_tutorials (fake cut, don't bother me lol). What a great 1st tut this would make :D
