RESPECT
The word respect comes from a latin word meaning to look back on or to regard.
I don't like the word. For one thing, I starts with my absolute least favorite letter of the alphabet. And -spect. Just say it. Spect! Sounds like a poison. ReSPECT!
Another thing I hate about that word is how it's used.
"Give your mother some respect."
"I have respect for our President."
Even worse, some people use respect as a verb. A Verb!
"Respect your teachers!"
"You'd better respect me, young man!"
Respect is NOT something you get by yelling at people to give it to you. That's fear.
