Today has been the most wonderful day. We took Gram and Grandaddy on the Dart downtown to a Zimbabwean/Irish cafe. On Fridays they have a celtic music session and the piper invited me to come back some time and bring my fiddle. eee! And Wednesday I went to an oldtime session that's once a month and they said to come back. It seems that even if I can't make friends my own age, I can make friends who love the things I do (despite, or because of, their age).

Tomorrow night's our big party and I made a cheesecake. And I did my Laundry. (With a capital L.) And I found out what music Winddance danced to in Jackson.

We decorated our Christmas tree last night and I think it looks very nice and colorful. I get really sick of red and white. Christmas is so nice when it's real. When you don't have to watch tv. Those ads make me hate Christmas. And not watching tv makes me forget that Christmas has anything to do with Jesus. All I ever see is pagan symbolism. Holly and mistletoe have both always been associated with the goddess. And the fir tree is certainly not a Christian tradition. Even the date, December 25th, is the birthday of many more than Christ. It's the near solstice (the suns birthday) and Dec. 25th was the birthday of the "Son of Isis" (Goddess of nature).
