Captain Phil Harris
For some time, the opening to BSR has featured an audio sequence from the Discovery Channel show Deadliest Catch. The sequence, affectionately known as "crab farts", features the voice of Captain Phil Harris of the F/V Cornelia Marie.
As folks know, Denise and I are huge fans of Deadliest Catch and of Captain Phil.
On January 29, while unloading Opilio (snow) Crab at St. Paul Island, Captain Phil suffered a stroke. He passed away, due to complications from the stroke, yesterday.
At the moment all I can do is offer my prayers to his family and the crew of the Cornelia Marie.
