Okay, so you all might guess that I'm not a democrat, but for trying to be moderate, even I have a pressure point. In my Middle East politics class, a primary book for reading calls the war in Iraq illegal in the first sentence, and goes downhill from there. While I don't mind reading that book, I do mind not having a conservative book in that class for balance. Instead, we get to read from a journalist for an American Communist party that seeks to violently rise up and set in place a socialist utopia. Never mind the implausabilities of such an experiment, the incredible lack of perspective in this class astounds me and indicates that this could be a rather interesting semester (i.e. arguing with the teacher might be a regular occurence, though I hope not). Anyway, that's all for now, but your comments on this situation are welcome.
