Lime and seawater?

I just caught this off slashdot and thought it would be worth putting here, mostly for hindsight. It seems like one of the more feasible approaches. As time goes on, is this one of the options we will see pursued for real? I'm not trying to hype it, I'm just curious to see what angles and approaches we take.
