Well, well, well. Haven't written in a fair amount of time even though a good amount of stuff has happened.

Thursday night I went to Decatur to visit with Sallie, Christine, Anne, and their Decatur friends. It was quite an interesting experience. Decatur does seem to be an awesome place to live, very different from every other city I've ever lived in. It was cool to see them in their "natural environment" and while I'm willing to concede to the fact that Decatur seems pretty great, I'm not entirely sold on the fact that it's greater.

Friday was opening day for Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events and Armin and I went with Nissa and Danesh. It was so great spending time with them because I felt as though I hadn't done that in a while. The movie itself wasn't too bad, if you neglect the fact that it was based on novels. They changed a fair amount of the details and whatnot, and overall it wasn't that bad.

My parents went to the lake on Saturday so I was forced to take my brother to piano. Which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Apart from waking up at the ungodly hour of 8:30 that is. Ms. Aza was nice to me, which always takes me by surprise. Armin and I scrounged for food when we came back. I had some rice and fish while he ate peanut butter on pita bread. I made myself a grilled cheese sandwich in pita bread. You know you're Persian when....

Not much else has been happening. I watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame a few nights ago. Oh my goodness, that is such a good movie. Excellent music. I was somewhat shocked though when I realized I identified with Quasimodo just a tad bit too much for my comfort level. And Belle. I always identified so strongly with her character. And those two are such big outcasts in their respective towns. Hmm....

Just saw the most hilarious commercial while my dad was watching CNN. Actually it wasn't all that funny, but, just watch it and you should understand why I liked it. http://www.cnn.com/yourcommand/ Click on the Christiane Amanpour commercial.
