I'm back!...briefly...
I looked at my own livejournal today and realized that i have posted since March...for that I apologize.
The spring quarter here at DePaul is really kicking my ass. I'm only taking one class, but it happens to be Music Research, which requires endless reading and projects to be done a the library. THE LIBRARY?! I'm pretty sure at my entire time at JMU I went to the library 3 times. Once, to meet someone in the lounge, Another time to look at all of the gay books with Amy, and once for a lame GCom group project. This class, in addition to all of my ensemble obligations pretty much takes up my entire day every day...and I am TIRED!
Because we are on the quarter system, we don't end until the beginning of June. Still a month to go. I am supposed to be playing the Hindemith Sonate for Trumpet and Piano on a joint graduate recital next weekend. However 2 of the 3 grads have not found an accompanist yet (I am the one who has!) I'm not sure if that is even going to happen.
Sometimes I wonder why the hell I went back to school (of course then I remember the shambles my life was in before I got here, and it all makes sense). I'm just struggling to accept my responsibilities as a student, when i just want a job and a real adult life. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence...
In other news, I'm definitely single again. Jason and I finally had our talk, and agreed we wouldnt be able to work this out. I'm completely fine with this decision, because I'm really not in a place where I can carry on a serious relationship right now...and that one got serious FAST! Plus I'm not really sure how compatible we were.
I'm going to be home for at least 7-8 days in June/July for my sister's wedding. I really want to see as many people as possible so let's figure something out! Slumber party? Beach time? Beer?
Free time is up...time to get to Orchestra. More to come soon (hopefully)
