Siwon joined arms with Bom again as they walked to the main celebration area, smiling like nothing was out of the ordinary. But instead of taking their seats, they split up once again, one taking the back of the hall and the other one the front.
A nod of the head, and both of them pulled out their guns. 1… 2… 3.
The sound of a gunshot rang through the hall, a hole appearing on the poster behind the mayor and another one in the poster at the front. “Put your hands up!” Siwon yelled, stepping out from his hiding position.
Instead of pausing, everyone erupted in screams and ran from their chairs, wine and food flying everywhere. “Well… Wasn’t really expecting that to work.”
Bom couldn’t help it - she giggled. Siwon raised an eyebrow, and she regain her composure, stepping out from her hiding place as well. Security flooded the area as Siwon and Bom shot near crowds, intimidating but never taking lives. Slowly, they’d creep towards the mayor, who was now surrounded by bodyguards.
The officers ran back and forth in their black suits, looking for the intruders, when Bom was spotted. Siwon noticed first. “BOM!”
She turned towards him and was immediately caught off-guard by an officer. He grabbed for her and she kicked out at him, nailing him right where it hurt most. “Yeah, thought so.” She stuck her tongue out before sticking out her arm, smacking another man in the nose. He doubled over, clutching his face.
Siwon paused for a second, only hesitating to punch another man in his gut, before smiling at Bom. She grinned back and continued on her fight.

Chef Ryeowook gripped the wine glass in his hand, huddling behind the pillar as one by one, his body guards were taken out by the crazy red-head girl, and Siwon. It seemed as if she was doing most of the work. Who was she, anyways?
There was no time to think about that, he told himself. Instead, Chef Ryeowook crept back until he found a door to leave the hall. Glancing around quickly, he turned the knob, only to be met by his archenemy (and another strange girl): Cho Kyuhyun. “Hello, Kim Ryeowook, how may I assist you today?” Kyuhyun smirked, slipping the gun out of his belt and twirling it expertly. Behind him, the girl grinned and took out her own weapon as well, butting someone in the head as they snuck up to her back. “Oh - right. You’ll be the one assisting me.” There was a laugh and ten seconds later - all he saw was black.

Hankyung put up a finger to his lips, indicating Chaerin to keep quiet, and she rolled her eyes like it was obvious. He kicked out at her leg, making her wince. He smirked. She glared at him.
They slowly tip-toed closer to the back entrance of the hall, opening it to see there was no need to be quiet. The whole place was chaos. People were running in a frenzy; Chef Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, or Dara were nowhere to be seen, Donghae and Minzy were kicking butt inside, and Hankyung caught a glimpse of Siwon and Bom doing the same outside towards the front.
Hankyung nodded at Chaerin, who went in front of him. He watched her as she stepped towards the front, looked around, and disappeared behind the stage.
He came inside as well and began peering around. Where the hell was the mayor?
It took him a couple of minutes before he finally caught glance of a man, dressed in a freshly ironed suit, being lead out by a group of security guards. Man, they were slow.
Hankyung sped ahead until he was right behind the security guards, then reached out and pressed the pressure point on the neck of the nearest one. He was down in less than fifteen seconds. Soon, the rest of them were down as well, and the mayor had no idea what had happened.
A hand covered his mouth (gloved, because Hankyung couldn’t stand touching strangers), and a girl appeared in his vision. “Mayor Jung-su, it’s been a while…”
He blinked. “Chaerin,” he said, his words muffled and unheard. They’d been frenemies for quite a while, with Chaerin always causing destruction to some part of the town. But, who was it that was covering his mouth? “That’d be me, Mayor. Han Geng, but I think you know me as Hankyung.”

“I think - we should - go join - Bom and - Siwon - now,” Minzy pointed, leaning against the wall. Her hair plastered to her forehead, Donghae could see that she was worn out, unlike him, who was just getting energized. Now probably wasn’t the best time to crack a joke.
The whole hall was cleared - well, cleared of conscious people, other than Minzy and himself.
“You think?” he asked, fixing his collared shirt. “Are you sure there isn’t anyone else we need to-”
“No, Donghae, do you see anyone alive here?” He glanced around.
“Um… Not really.” She cocked an eyebrow and he sighed, trudging afterwards.
“I guess…” Minzy smiled, suddenly refreshed, and linked arms with Donghae. They skipped off to the front entrance where Siwon and Bom were resting - but it was more like Minzy doing the skipping and Donghae watching her from the back, absolutely starstruck.
~
“Is he…?”
“Ssh, Hyukjae, you’re gonna wake him up!”
“But-”
“I think he’s right, Hyukjae.”
“I don’t even know you.”
“So?” Hyukjae sized her up, interrupted by Kyuhyun.
“Wait, you guys, I think he is awake.” Chef Ryeowook blinked once - twice - three times. The harsh light of the dull room stung his eyes, and he had to squint before his pupils adjusted to the sudden brightness. When he finally regained his eyesight, he saw three figures crowding around him.
One of them was Cho Kyuhyun, the one that had knocked him out.
The second was Lee Hyukjae, the quartet’s assistant and one of Kyuhyun’s closest friends.
And the third was that girl that Kyuhyun had been with earlier - “Who are you?”
She backed up, a little shocked. “Huh?” Hyukjae cracked a grin and Kyuhyun elbowed him in the gut. The older groaned and glared at him. The girl glanced at Kyuhyun and he nodded, shrugging. “Dara.”
“And what you are you doing here?”
“I’m - uh - helping Kyuhyun.” Chef Ryeowook blinked again and stared at her - she looked kind of familiar.
“Do I know you from somewhere?”
“I don’t, um, think so, but maybe it was because I’ve eaten at your restaurant a couple of times,” she stammered, her cool attitude from earlier gone. Hyukjae scowled at her. “What? He’s got good food, you have to admit that. I mean, seriously, who else makes American food like this guy? Not even Americans make it this amazing. Like, no kidding, those-”
“Excuse me,” Chef Ryeowook said, unabashed, “but I don’t think that’s where you’re from. Do you happen to know Chaerin?”
The girl - Dara - stood up straight, her fierceness suddenly back. “Yeah. Why?”
Chef Ryeowook didn’t say anything; he just nodded, thinking. If this girl knew Chaerin, then maybe she could tell her to - “Quit shoving!” The chef looked up from his position on the floor and saw Hyukjae pushing Dara, who was yelling at him. Behind them, Kyuhyun sighed.
“Please, ignore them. I seem to be dealing with five year-olds.” Chef Ryeowook smiled evilly.
“No problem. No problem at all.”
~
There was a loud shattering sound and Chaerin whipped around, unconsciously grabbing Hankyung’s arm. He glanced at her strangely and she immediately let go, scoffing. “What are you looking at?” she demanded.
He smirked. “Are you scared or something?”
“No,” she denied, scowling. “I just haven’t been here in a long time.” Hankyung nodded, pulling towards him the tied up victim while shrugging: Sure. “I haven’t!”
“Whatever you say. Now stop crying and get over here - he’s big.” There was a muffled cry in protest. “I mean built.”
Chaerin shot him a confused look, but Hankyung just shook his head. Apparently the mayor didn’t like to be called fat.
Hankyung and Chaerin lugged the mayor into the deserted building and continued on in the darkness, occasionally bumping him into the walls. He’d cry out every time and Chaerin would glance at him in concern, but she soon realized the Chinese man was doing it on purpose. “Hankyung!”
“What? It’s funny.”
“Stop that!”
“But-” She gave him a good wack on the arm, and he quit before a bruise appeared.
While they continued walking, there was another loud shattering sound, and Chaerin clutched onto Hankyung’s arm.
But before he could say anything, dozens of bright white lights flashed on at once, catching them off-guard. “Well, well, well,” a voice said, shoes stepping out from the darkness. “What do we have here?”
~
“We’re here!” Donghae sang, taking Minzy’s hand and twirling her towards the building. Behind them, Bom linked arms with Siwon and giggled. Siwon smiled.
“Where, exactly, are we?” Minzy asked while spinning around.
“At our headquarters.” Siwon kicked Donghae from the back. “I mean, Kyuhyun’s headquarters, but we all hang out here.”
“It looks a bit scary,” Bom commented, tightening her grip on Siwon. He led her inside into the darkness, guiding her through the hallways as Donghae and Minzy skipped ahead of them. Their laughs echoed through the whole building.
It took them a couple of minutes to reach the center, where Donghae pressed a button and lights flooded the room. It was deserted except for a lone door, which Minzy reached for. She opened it, and immediately, shouts filled the air. “Tell me what you want!” The voice sounded familiar. A bit like Kyuhyun’s.
All four of them went inside to see Dara and Hyukjae sitting on a couple of chairs and watching in awe as Kyuhyun questioned his captive - Kim Ryeowook. They were separated by a thick, bolted steel door and a bullet proof window. “You’ve been toying with me - with us - for so long. Just tell me what the fuck you want us to do.”
There was a laugh from Ryeowook, as if he weren’t tied up and strapped to a thick, metal chair with chains and rope. “What I want? I want money. And that’s all I’ve ever wanted.”
“You have it, you asshole! So why are you messing with us?!” Kyuhyun looked ready to strangle the older man, but Hyukjae was laughing in the back, as was Dara. Siwon and Donghae were also on the verge of bursting into giggles, but Minzy and Bom were completely shocked.
“What aren’t you stopping him?! Chef Ryeowook’s gonna get hurt!” Bom cried. Donghae patted her on the back, then pulled Minzy towards the front to get a closer. She looked a bit hesitant, but came, nonetheless.
“Kyuhyun’s messing around. It’s not like he’s actually serious.”
“That isn’t serious?” Minzy asked, smirking. “Then I really don’t want to know what is.”
Siwon led Bom to a seat in the backroom, while Donghae took Minzy closer to the window. Kyuhyun looked up, a smile lighting his face up for less than a second, before he went serious again. This time, his shouting was a bit louder. Dara laughed and Hyukjae pretended to flick Chef Ryeowook through the mirror. Donghae sighed and grabbed Minzy’s arm again. “I’m bored. Let’s go see if Hankyung and Chaerin are here.”
