Who just hit 20k? This guy. And it's been awhile since I've done a meme like this, so!

ASK A QUESTION, it can be anything CFUD related. OOC, IC, relationship, psychology, thoughts, whatever. I.E. My character's opinion of your character or maybe what you have been wondering about this behavior or that, or general thoughts on my characters or ( Read more... )

Jesse on Lightning?

... And Santana, but I don't think there's anything new there. :x

He actually doesn't hate Santana as much now that he's talked with Finn and Finn hasn't done anything super dumb because of her. She's more of a "whatever" thing, but she's still on his list because of how she treated Rachel. But we've talked about this in PM and blahdeblah. I do think there's some semblence of hope for them forming a relationship in the future!

Lightning! Lightning is interesting. Jesse's not quite sure what to make of her, so he's slowly trying to feel her out and get to know her and what she's all about. Her ":|"-ness is a bit funny, and he did catch that she backed off when he told her not to make assumptions about him. It was an interesting reaction! In the end, interesting people hold Jesse's attention. Also, she's trying to learn things about youtube, and there is something hilarious about that in Jesse's mind. It's obvious that there's more going on underneath with her, and his curiosity has been piqued.

Lightning on Jesse?

Lightning's way of perceiving Jesse runs deep. In Cocoon, it is possible for someone to have a completely normal life. But she never got to have it. Instead, she had to become a soldier at a young age in order to provide for her and Serah and Serah was meant to go on to university and all that normal stuff. From Light's perspective, she KNOWS about music and knows about normal things that I assume Cocoon has; she just hasn't experienced a lot of it herself. There's a point in the novels where she kind of refers to people's clothing as new-fangled, as if she's a lot older than the people around her. ... And she's just twenty-one.

So in a way, Jesse represents "normal" for her, and what she signed up to protect, but she never had a chance to really pause and get to know those people. By time Serah became what she did, Fang barely knew her, and was seeking a way to change that ( ... )

... I really want them to remember "Dream On" and the fact that he's a kid who shows a lot more when he's away from his team, and that he's been in college for at least seven months now. I don't think they can really wrap things up with him in three episodes, given all that they've got going on, but I'd like to see him actually work with New Directions! I am sincerely hoping that the talk of his intentions not being nefarious are true. Mostly, it's like what I told Sian yesterday - as long as he is not doing the spy thing and intentionally being a giant dickwad and as long as they don't do anything collosally stupid with him a la Egg-gate '10, I will be satisfied. With that said, it would have to be a super amazing and super consistent stint for me to even consider updating.

Do you have any drops that you regret?

Almost everyone I dropped in 2010. It was a weird year for me RP-wise, and as a result, I failed out on pretty much everyone I apped. This includes Claire, Rush, Frau, and Dick--I think there are others, but they're the ones I actively look back on and go, "Wow, I could've rocked them, but I barely tried." I find that if I drop someone after a year of playing, I don't regret it, though, so Max and Yousuke aren't included. I realized when I reapped Yousuke it was more of a possessive thing than ... yeah.

Someone comes to you and says the only way you can keep playing at CFUD is to drop Jesse and app someone else from Glee. Who would it be?

EASY. Quinn Fabray. She's the one I was originally going to app before I swapped Glee characters several times (and then gave up on ever apping the canon a week before Jesse's intro aired). Like Jesse, she's gotten shafted by the show. I really enjoyed her development in the first half of the first season, and then they dropped the ball. They seemed like they were going to pick it up this season! And it's just been all over. I want to slap the writers for the prom queen storyline. Dianna Agron has said that it's an attempt at comedy, but ... no.

I still idly contemplate apping her to another game, because she seems like an incredibly interesting character to explore, particularly in these panfandom settings.

What canonmate do you want most for each of your characters?

Quinnnnnnn.

Roxas - Xion

Sam - Cas or Bobby. Ideally, I'd prefer Ruby, Meg, Ellen, or Jo, but the chances they'll get apped ...

Asch - ... Largo, because he's actually my favorite character.

slipping in Light - Fang for selfish reasons, Snow for less selfish

Kiden - ... Idk ... The rest of the characters in NYX are PoCs and handled in a problematic way (ie the white blonde girl is their savior and controlling force, instead of having individual agency). I think in CFUD, that agency could develop, but Kiden would still be Kiden to them.

Simon - Kelly

Luke - Annabeth

Santana - Brittany (SUPRISE)

Five favorite performances from Glee not including Jesse.

In no particular order, and some of these really can be swapped out with others -

1) Somebody to Love (Queen) - I liked how this one played out in the narrative. It made sense and it also looked good while still being, you know, a high school show choir. A year and a half later, it still sticks in my head.

2) You Keep Me Hanging On - I really like it when they give Dianna Agron songs she can work with. She has a limited range and her voice is thin, but when they give her something that works, it works. I loved how this one cut between her actually doing stuff to her watching other people (Finn, Sue) to the "fantasy" sequence with all the other Cheerios. I like it when the music helps the narrative progress, and this was basically Quinn's whole inner conflict in a nutshell ( ... )

I assume you mean a canon I like, haha. THOUGH I NEVER SAY NEVER WITH GLEE ... HAPPENING ...

Anyway, of canons I love, I'd say Mad Men for sure. The show is wayyyy more subtle than I can pull off. It took four seasons to develop Peggy and it never rushed it to show her beneath her facade, and I am just not capable of pulling off that kind of writing. It is, in my eyes, the best show on television.

I'd also love to app from GRRM's books, but he won't let me. :(

same back at you?

Iiii would say ... probably still either of the Lunar games. The original Lunar was my first Playstation game and I still love it to bits. With that said, while I love the canon, there's no one in it that I would really app. Nash comes close, but I've played off of a couple good people, to the point where I don't feel like I could do him myself and match up to that. Still, the games are fun. I'd like to see other people app from them.

What's a song you'd like to see covered on Glee?

Yeah, that's the other thing with Mad Men. Even if WAS awesome enough, it doesn't have anyone who fully hits my pings.

Silly answer: I want to see a BSB vs N Sync episode, with some Spice Girls thrown in. Ever since the Biebersode, it is my dream.

Serious answer: I'd love to see Puck cover some The Who music, Santana to do Adele's "Someone Like You," and I have a craving for "Seasons of Love" from RENT as a cheesy end to all the gay storylines.

Do you think Jesse could dig another dude who's not Finn?

boldstarring April 20 2011, 20:08:28 UTC
I ... short answer: yes.

The longer answer: Jesse still isn't sure how he'd define himself, although he's slowly growing more comfortable with his own sexual identity and the fact that he can't quite put a label on it. He's stated that he's not really into other guys, but I think he's also at this point where he's not willing to completely shut that door and close those possibilities off. He's dating a guy. He actually likes it, and not just on an emotional / passionate level.

I think the one thing is, for Jesse, to be with another guy who isn't Finn, there'd have to be passion there. Jesse has two kinds of relationships: the ones he dicks around in, and the ones he is genuinely passionate about. The Rachel relationship scared him the first time around because he thought it was the former and it became the latter. He's more inclined to be shallow with a girl, I think. With guys, they have to draw him in in some fashion, and then he finds them attractive. If that makes sense ( ... )
