HERE'S THE FUNNY THING - I love showtunes. When I was really young, I didn't listen to the radio (granted, it was the late 80s / early 90s, so how safe would that have been). My mom had a lot of cassette tapes and CDs of various musicals, so I'd listen to those instead. Disney musicals were my thing growing up, and I have vague memories of watching "Oklahoma!" repeatedly. My dad ended up making cassette copies of those various CDs and other tapes for me so I could listen to them in my room, man. Showtunes were my childhood, so I get this geeky sort of pleasure in being able to use that "knowledge."

As a bonus, I actually took a course on the movie musical back in Fall '09, so I have all these notes and saw a number of obscure musicals. I looooved that class, so it's, uh, a little hilarious that the knowledge is paying off in ... this form ...

So! One thing you like about playing Aradia and one thing that drives you nuts already - go.

Clearly your whole life has been tailored towards playing Jesse St James on the internet. WHO KNEW. (also man, my secretary at work is a huge fan of him. it's quite bizarrely hilarious as she keeps asking me how I know about Glee when I don't watch it and it is just "UH.")

The actual thing that drives me nuts is also the thing that makes Aradia fun to play - she knows everything and is following a plan that may only slightly intersect with the rest of the trolls' in order to ensure that things happen as she knows they do. That's interesting because it poses a kind of conflict that I think that the narrative is going to explore in the future now that she's Alivedia as opposed to her other incarnations ... the only problem is that I don't know

Aradia's "quirk" is probably the easiest to type on any phone. You lucked out so much.

The car accident that took his arm and his sight! Which, well, obvious. It was when he was fairly young (eight? ten?). He had to learn how to do things all over again, and that's molded him into who he is today. The incident with Cradle Pharmaceutical nine years ago is a close second because - life or death situation, camraderie, that'll do it to you. I think it made him less trusting, more closed off and willing to put up a front.

One thing that you want to do with or have happen to one of your characters at some point! What is it and why?

I really want to knock Ronan's balance out from under him - he's entirely too comfortable in camp given that two thirds of his canon has him under increasing amounts of strain and I'd like to have him encounter the Lone Power in camp! The only problem is that Ronan, being one of the oldest characters in the series and also being kind of subtle about his insecurities, means that any Lone Power action would have to be the subtle, manipulative kind as opposed to the kind where the Lone Power throws around obscene amounts of power and snuffs out stars just because It can. So getting that kind of subtle manipulation to work and to get under Ronan's skin is kind of hard! He's too well adjusted in camp, but I do love how he shifts when under pressure

Oh my god, my thing with Chris is that I feel like if I'm not giving myself secondhand embarrassment in threads with superheroes, then I'm doing it wrong. IF BATMAN CAME, the first thread literally would just be a series of icons and dots. I don't know if you watch Community or not, but there was an episode where a character met his childhood hero, LeVar Burton, and he actually couldn't say anything. There was just staring and squeaking, even when LeVar tried to engage him in conversation. It would be something like that.

Also, Chris probably doesn't care for fanfiction much. He's one of those internet commenters who goes around bashing it.

Who is the one canonmate you want like burning and why?

Right now, it's Leo thanks to HOW THAT ARC ENDED OMFG. It genuinely feels weird to play Elliot without Leo because Leo has been Elliot's shadow for two years and Elliot relies on and trusts him more than anyone else EVEN OZ which is saying something because wow Pandora Hearts 59 was pretty impressive in that regard. Mochizuki made a point of showing just how broken Leo is as a result of his involvement in the latest arc and the consequences it had, so I kind of want them to meet in camp now and have a happier ending. As happy as it could be given ... lol. It'd also be handy given that Elliot has updated while the rest of his cast haven't yet, and so Leo would pretty much be the only person Elliot would tell (...if Leo didn't already know ...) because they are that close.
