No, but I'll take the complicated one.

Hard to say for sure, really. I doubt it's the same for any two people.

But if you ask me, being in love with someone means you'd do anything to be with them. Go through hell and back, kill anyone that stands in your way, and whatever else you need to do to stay with them.

Staying with me probably isn't the wisest thing for him to do, though.

So what? Nobody said a damn thing about wisdom being part of it, and if they did then they're wrong.

People in love are almost always stupid. Rational thought kind of takes a backseat to everything else.

My life's goal is to kill his best friend.

[Lancer, you do not understand how fucked up this is.]

[...Well, damn. That was pretty fucked up.]

An he still puts up with you? Either he's a complete moron or he's...what's the phrase, head over heels?

Then again, they're practically the same thing. Like I said, love makes you an idiot.

Yes, that's the phrase.

I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do about it.

[About love in general.]

Figure out what you want and go for it. The rest is more or less up to you.

This seems like a very foolish way to go about it.

Is this how most of the world deals with these feelings?

How should I know? That's how I deal with it.

I married her, so you tell me.

Marriage does not necessarily mean love, nor does it mean that the relationship worked in the long term.

I don't know how you humans treat relationships these days, but it worked out fine for us.

[Mostly.]

I'm sure that marriages of convenience and infidelity have existed for a very long time.
