holy fuckkkkk

Whoever the fuck said MUCC is going soft needs to listen to their album, now. So much growling! And shit... the bass just ROARS to life in "Gokusai" and "Nageki no kane". I am very much in love with the guitar work in "Gekkou" - and Tatsurou's falsetto is gorgeous, it has a very haunting quality to it. The entire song evokes pure emotion.

"Panorama" is a ballad that shows off their love for tackling a range of music. While it's not particularly great (I'm not much for ballads), it is soothing. Soft, calming. Miya's guitaring reminds me of a harp, actually.

"Risky Drive" sounds so much like something you would hear from a garage band. Tatsurou is just shouting, but oh god, there's an amazing bass solo followed by distorted power guitaring. The last half of the song is the best, especially the last few seconds where Tatsurou sing-songs very fast.

"Kisenka" is particularly good, because the music is very much background. You get to hear Tatsurou use his voice to construct almost the entire melody. That, and I love the bass once again. Yukke never ceases to amaze me. Never. I also really like how the song ends, sort of abruptly but it works

I find "D.O.G." strange, Miya's tearing apart the guitar in this and the bass & drum combination is particularly loud (even for a MUCC song). But the thing is, Tatsurou sounds like he is singing for a completely different song, an upbeat punk song to be exact.

"25ji no Yuutsu" begins with guitar distortions and when Tatsurou's voice comes in, it just sounds all the more eerie. It all picks up, then changes pace again: there's a jazzy/70's fast bass solo. In the later half of the song, Tatsurou is almost rapping, and then it goes right back to the eerie distortions. I love the insanity of fusing all these different sounds into one song, and amazing enough, MUCC does it so incredibly well. A definite favourite of mine.

"Yasashii Uta" is really cutesy. It is very reggae influenced, but done in the same style as "Aoki Haru" and "Yume no Machi". There's also the return of the harmonica!

On the bonus disc, "G.M.C" starts off sounding very Deathgaze/Sadie/-OZ-. Incredibly fast paced, loud, and with Tatsurou growling the almost the whole way through. And holy shit, Tatsurou starts screaming. He almost never screams... it's always wailing and growling. It sounds amazing. Also another favourite.

The second song on the bonus disc is a surf version of "Gerbera", but don't let that scare you away. It sounds quite good! Faster paced than the original, and a lot heavier! Almost the entire original guitar work has been rewritten, and Miya proves that he absolutely pwns all other guitarists.
