This song ~

God, it's been in my head all night ~
So wonder ~ ~
Are you wonder with me? ~

Also, I've been sick, and not sleeping, and have a test on Thursday, but I got sucked into watching Knowing anyway. I hadn't heard of it before (no surprise there), and Nicolas Cage stars in it, which admittedly is kind of a turn off for me (he always has the same expression! In EVERY movie he's in!). In fact, I even dug up a shiny poster to show you guys, and had to take a moment to crop his name off. He actually annoys me that much.

Apparently 3/4ths of the critics out there absolutely hated the movie, and I can understand why. Which is why it's odd that I still thought the movie was intense. I mean like, whoa. I was in the kitchen just listening to it and was like, 'It sounds like Cloverfield!'
...
Okay, so not really. But still! The thought was there! And that totally says something. So yeah. Lot's of 'OMYGOD THIS IS INTENSE' moments, and I was totally digging the horror/thrill aspect of it. Also, now that I'm looking back at it (after knowing all the spoilery secrets!), it was totally set up M. Night Shyamalan style. So plus 10!pts right there.
And yes, Nicolas Cage was mostly pretty lame, but to be fair, he also had some lame lines too so...whatever. Blah.
However! I loved the wings!! The aliens as angels pretty much rocked. And the ships were gorgeous. And the final scene was absolutely beautiful ~ ♥
I'm still blown away by how fabulous everything looks on my dad's new flatscreen, but this was one of those scenes where you just want to pause the movie and leave it that way for a few days. Which means they probably spent most of the movie's budget on it .
Also, once I realised that the creepy then men guys in trenchcoats were the aliens, I totally had a 'they made Spike an angel?' moment. As in, the vampire from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Seriously, the whole lot of them could have been little Spike wannabes, and the main guy looks pretty similar to him.
So even though it really wasn't as thrilling as I'm making it out to be, it was definitely a great watch (and obiously the best thing I've been foced to watch seen with that man in it).

So in conclusion, Bible allusions all over the place. Everywhere.

Save me, I'm lost/Oh Lord I've been waiting for you ~

music is love! ~ ♥, this-is-not-a-proper-rant-but-could-be, movie review-ish thing
