Naruto loved Sasuke's hands second to Sasuke himself. Of course, he couldn't say much about the other parts of his body yet. The young Uchiha wasn't very verbal or physical with his so-called love other than the occasional intercourse they had every other night. It had been three weeks since Sasuke revealed this emotion that transcended the in denial friendship they shared and the Uchiha's non-responsiveness made him worried that the latter was merely toying with his feelings.
And sex was like a mere obligation for them since they were lovers, not something they both should enjoy.
He shrugged the thoughts off his mind. An apology from the Uchiha himself was highly unlikely; not to mention the fact that he seriously needed to trust Sasuke a little more.
Besides, he gave me the question... I merely gave him the answer he had been waiting for. Naruto thought and uncovered the blanket that was previously covering his face. The blond boy let a sigh escape from his parted lips as he remembered Sasuke's exact words that evening.
'Oi Naruto, you're my lover from now on, idiot' in a way as if he was obliged to say yes lest suffer the consequences. Those said consequences, Naruto never dared nor attempted to uncover but probably invovled a lot of violent wooing and consensual rape.
It wasn't even a question in the first place. How many 18-year old boys propose to a lover, male or female, like that? Everyone but Uchiha Sasuke most probably.
'Shut up! You don't have to call me and idiot if you want me to!' His reply wasn't straight to the point, but it was a yes nonetheless.
"The poor excuse of a love confession was anti-dramatic!" Naruto seethed bitterly, loud enough for the person, his so-called lover, on the opposite of the bed to hear.
"Shut up and sleep, idiot." Sasuke didn't bother facing him. It was an hour past midnight and twenty minutes after the afterglow, without the cuddling after.
"You're the idiot Sasuke."
Sasuke sounded tired. "Didn't we have this conversation already last week?"
"I know that..." There were tears being held back in Naruto's eyes "But... but you don't even hold my hand like you're supposed to, STUPID!"
He saw Sasuke flinch before replying "We have sex every other night. And what do you mean 'I'm supposed to?'"
"That's not what I meant!" His replied, his voice cracking. "You don't tell me anything... or show me anything. You're a stupid stuck up asshole!!!"
That seemed to have prompted the young Uchiha to finally talk to him face to face. His expression, much to the blond's surprise, was without malice or disgust. As a matter of fact, it wasn't displaying much emotion at all.
The silence between the two boys was pregnant with concealed words. The blond boy continued to stare at Sasuke with tearful yet defiant eyes. The Uchiha reached for his fingers and carefully locked them with his own. His expression remained stoic as he gently squeezed the hands that Naruto was longing for him to hold. Naruto sniffed quietly and blinked back the tears on his eyes to mask both his astonishment and delight at Sasuke's sudden open fondness.
There were silent for a while before Naruto decided to speak. "They seem to fit each other perfectly don't they? Our hands I mean, ne Sasuke?" A little blush tinted his cheeks.
"Che, you're getting sappy, idiot."
"Somehow, this seems a little better than sex." Naruto thought aloud with a sly smirk on his face. "...Only a little though."
Sasuke couldn't have agreed more and clutched Naruto's warm hands a little tighter.

A/N: I was really depressed when I typed this so I did a little editing when I got my sanity back. Unbeta'd though, grammatical correction and typos are very much encouraged so I can improve my deteriorating writing skills. Hopefully they don't sound OOC here >__< I couldn't help adding a little dash of implied sex there, forgive me. They're better smutty and angsty... at least in my opinion XD
Random: I noticed that lj's spell checker's thinks that I mispelled seminary as Sasunaru *dies*
