pretty boys on the subway

this Riding subways in South Korea isn't a pleasant experience. But it really isn't as dirty and threatening as people make it seem either. There may be a lot of people crowding around her due to the morning traffic of adults hitching a ride to their jobs, but it's not so bad that someone couldn't find a seat to occupy.
Celine is caving into herself to hold as much body heat as she can muster in the freezing weather she hasn't had the chance to get used to yet. Headphones are jammed in her ears, blasting Justin Bieber's "Somebody to Love", which successfully blocks out anyone's attempt to speak to her. Not that she'd be able to respond anyways, lack of Korean skills still being her main struggle during her temporary stay in the foreign country.
The subway makes a stop and nearly half the riders get off and the same amount of people flood back in. Celine sighs, wondering when she'll finally arrive in Seoul.
The seats surrounding her have been vacant for the past twenty minutes, but right when the song changes through her ears, a boy slumps into the seat to her right. Celine inches away from shock, but freezes when she takes in the boy's appearance. The tips of his brown hair are barely drying, molten eyes puffy and half-lidded, nose scrunched cutely over a full pair of lips. He's wearing a navy and white varsity jacket, red stripes shown at the hems, and light jeans hugging his lean legs perfectly in all the right places--
She chances a look at his face again and he has an eyebrow raised at her in question. Celine quickly turns the other direction, glancing at every little stain or poster taped carelessly on the interior, making it seem like she totally wasn't staring at the boy next to her. Because she wasn't.
When Celine feels a poke to her right shoulder, she flinches and whips her head around. The boy smiles at her, tapping his ears to tell her to take her headphones out. Celine slowly does so, worried what the boy might say to her.
"Hi, I'm Kim Jongin." He does a little wave and oh my god his English is adorable, but hot at the same time because of that voice.
"Oh. Hi?" Celine keeps guarded because what if he has a knife waiting to be pulled out of his pocket. He looks like he could kill. Well he's kind of killing her already, but that's not the point. Jongin stares blankly at her, waiting for-- "Oh I'm...Celine?" Jongin nods like he understands. Poor sucker probably doesn't.
"Uhh. Me, Jongin. Sleep." He leans on his palms held together, eyes closed, showing him sleeping. "I go to Suwon. You." He points to Celine. "Wake up me." He jiggles his arms as if shaking someone. "Ok?" He does an 'OK' sign with his index finger and thumb, but none of that matters because his smile is the sweetest thing Celine has ever seen despite how tired he looks. She's too busy laughing at his request to fawn over him any more than she already has though.
Celine nods and he keeps smiling at her, staring straight into her eyes before scooting around in his seat until he stops fidgeting and finds a comfortable position. He leans his head over the arms folded across his chest and huffs. Celine bites her lip to avoid grinning. He is not cute.
Okay he totally is.
Not even two minutes pass and Jongin is already nodding off and bobbing his head along with the abrupt stops and turns the subway makes. Celine wraps her headphones around her iPod, finding the boy next to him much more entertaining.
Just as she's about to tuck the device into her purse, Jongin's head lands on her shoulder and the wet strands stick to her neck. Celine shivers and tries to shy away in hopes of Jongin swaying back the other way, but he actually nudges closer to her body until he's completely glued to her side.
Celine stays stiff, praying the boy won't wake up while they're in the current predicament.
That is, until Jongin tilts his head and starts breathing small puffs of warm air onto the skin just behind her ear. She squirms at the ticklish feeling and he slides down so that his head is placed over her chest. Celine swears her heart stops beating for a second.
Jongin whines into Celine's sweater and she decides she can't take it anymore so she gently pushes his head away and back up to his original position. God his hair is softer than it looks. And he smells like melons and light cologne, sunshine and happiness--
Celine pulls her hand away and scoots a seat over. Finally she can breathe and it's then that she notices people are staring at her with curious eyes and amused smiles on their faces. Crap.
"Next stop, Suwon."
Double crap.
"Hey. Jongin. You uh." Celine lightly pushes the boy's arm and he slowly blinks awake, squinting at the bright light surrounding them. When he gains consciousness of her face hovering in front of his, the edges of his lips twitch up and he rubs his eyes. The urge to squish his cheeks or pat his pretty head is strong, but she really shouldn't do such things to a stranger.
The subway comes to another halt, the doors open, and Jongin rises from his seat. He holds out a hand before exiting the opened side doors and Celine shakes it. His hands are so big and warm compared to hers.
He treads backwards to the exit closest to them and mumbles in his half-asleep state, "Bye Celine." Of all the times his English could sound perfect.
He winks and with a mock salute he spins around and gets lost in the crowd of people.
Another boy steps in and plops into the same seat Jongin was previously occupying. He has the palest skin Celine has ever seen and his dusty silver hair makes him stand out even more. He has droopy eyes, a little pink mouth that he keeps licking every three seconds and Celine wonders if every boy her age looks this good in Korea.
"Hello." Celine greets the new boy with the best eye smile she can give with the newfound courage after her encounter with Jongin.
But this time fate isn't so nice to her. The pale boy blinks lazily at her for a bit and then he visibly scoffs, standing up and holding onto the strap attached to the railings overhead with his back turned to her. Jerk.
